Chapter Eighty - Aiden

"What?  What did she make you lose?"

"1.5 million."

The fuck?

"How did she make you lose that much money?  Are you sure?"

"I was working with Dena outside of Lay.  I was trying to make shit happen for myself without her help.  Ange kept saying that I wouldn't be successful without her and I wanted to prove her wrong.  Prove everyone wrong.  I don't need Layla!

When she found out about it, she snapped and fired Dena.  In the process, she took all of the money out of the business account I had set up.  All of it is gone.  I was only able to buy the merchandise but not get everything else setup beforehand."

Lay would never do any bullshit like that.

"Tiff, do you have solid proof of this?  That does not sound like anything Lay would do."

"See that's why I don't come to you with anything.  You never believe me.  None of you would believe me."

"I believe that you think you are right, but I also know Lay.  I'm not saying you didn't lose everything but do you really think Lay had something to do with it?"

She just stared out at the water.  After a few minutes she starts talking again.

"Yes.  I was able to get in touch with Dena and she told me that Lay found out about what was going on and she wiped the account completely before she fired her.  Dena's afraid that she will come after her."

This is all some bullshit. 

"I'll have Link to look into it."

"How's that gon' work?  Link would have been the one to gain access to the account."

Damn she's right. Because Lay is not trying to expose herself.

"Let me talk to Lay.  I know this is some bullshit."

She doesn't say anything else so I just drop it.  I want to spend time with my fiancé.  My wife.

"Come here."

"Why?  You are not about to fuck me on this beach."

"Why not?  No one is able to see us in this cabana.  As long as you keep your mouth closed you will be alright."

"We have been fucking like rabbits.  You are trying to get me pregnant and I'm telling you this is not the right time, Aiden.  We need to get back into the routine of just being us again before we bring a baby into the mix."

Shit, she's probably already pregnant.

"We never lost our routine, Tiff.   You're not trying to have my baby or something?"

It was a hypothetical question but her silence has me nervous as fuck.

"I want all of your babies, Aiden.  This is just not the right time."

"You have to get on birth control then.  I'm not gloving up while I'm making love to the love of my life.  When we connect, it's always gon' be skin to skin.  I want that with you and no one else.  Now bring your ass over here and at least let me hold you."

She gets up and sits in my lap facing the water.  She lays her back on my chest and wraps my arms around her.  I don't know what has her so stressed but I want to make everything right for her.  If she believes that Lay has done something to wrong her then I'm going to find out.

Tony had sent a message saying that Lay was having dinner with James.  Of all the people in the world and of all the places, she's having dinner with the fucking enemy and does not even know it.  At least I don't think she does.  I grab my phone and text Ry'lo really quick.
