Rio X OC 2 (Rio2/Sequel)(Editing In Progress)

"Amazon Expedition, day seven. Two thousand miles from Rio we've reached the center of the rainforest,"commented the doctor capturing a view of the Amazonian flora and fauna in his camera

"We are surrounded by plants and animals struggling for survival as we glide effortlessly down the river,"stated Tulio while Linda struggled to cope on her own,rowing them both down the river, doing all the hardwork as her companion sits back on the canoe and relaxes

" Effortless for you,"stated the woman in a matter of tired facts.

She suddenly spots a butterfly flying past her,"Oh, how pretty!" The moment gets ruined by a fish jumping out of the water snapping the butterfly into its mouth and back into the water making the woman gasp and sympathise

They soon stop on the riverside for the very reason they were there.

" We're nearing the nesting grounds of the Amazonian Wood Quail. Odontophorus gujanensis. Six months ago we rescued this little bird from smugglers,"the doctor commented

The woman landed on her feet  onto the shore unveiling the cage from the boat which harboured a little flightless bird.

"It was sick, malnourished, with a broken leg, but now my trusty assistant..." Tulio points the camera at Linda, she then gives him a cold look," I mean, loving wife and colleague,"he chuckled,"will release her back to her natural habitat."

The woman opened the cage but the bird backed away in fear

"It's okay, you can go now. Just like this,"she flapped her hands to indicate to the bird to fly or waddle away

" Let me talk to her,"Tulio then looks at the bird after closing the camera and starts sqwacking incoherently which seemed incomprehensible, nonsensical, unrecognisable and incognible even to the bird

"Go on,"said Linda as the bird rushed out of the cage in fear.She stops looks back at Tulio and Linda for a moment then squawks at them and rushes off towards the jungle

"Freaks!"sqwacked the quail in subtitles.

"Do you think she's gonna be alright?"asked the woman getting back on the canoe

"Hm, give it some time,"the doctor assured

They watch as the bird reunited with birds of her own species after certain calls

" Mm, welcome home,"gushed the woman as they float further away down the river.

The flock of birds left,the rescued bird however turned towards them and started, squawking like a siren, almost as if warning them of something

"Wait a minute. What is she saying, Tulio?"questioned the worried woman

"It's just hard for her to say goodbye,"the doctor replied calmly

The bird frantically points at something ahead and squawked at them making more dramatic warning signs comprehensible even to idiots

" No, I think she...I think she's trying to warn us."

The doctor laughed,"No, no, no, Linda. It might be some sort of mating dance."

The bird continued warning them, going so far to imitate the opposite paddling scene, however upon the sight of the two humans going with the flow,she gave up trying to warn them, turned and walked back towards the jungle,

Linda looked ahead and noticed a waterfall up ahead making her horrified.

"Tulio, look! Paddle! Now!"

Tulio quickly grabs the paddle and fumbles soon loosing his paddle after a few strokes

"Watch out! Paddle, paddle! Backward, backward!" they go down the waterfall," To the right! No, no, no! Left! Forward, forward! No, no, no, no!"

" Make up your mind, Tulio!"the woman snapped

Linda's paddle gets caught on some rocks and breaks,"Cheese and sprinkles!"she cursed in Minnesotan

They continue to go down the waterfall but seem to come to a stop,when suddenly, Linda looks ahead and notices an even bigger waterfall,

As they get closer to the edge Linda uses her hands to try and paddle away,"Paddle, paddle, paddle! Faster! Aaah! Tulio!"

To no avail, their boat goes over the edge, falling to their misery.

A washed up boat,a broken padde and a completely dry video recorder being held by a hand could be visible on a shallow river

A soaked man shot up straight coughing his lungs out while shouting the name of his wife,"Linda! Linda!"

"Tulio!"Linda appeared from behind some rocks picking stuck wet leaves and an insect from her shoulder,"Yuk!"

She walks over to Tulio for an embrace,"Oh, thank heavens you're okay!"

However they retreated as they heard a bird squawking.They look up to see some blue feathers peaking out from the top of a tree.

"Tulio, is that a..."

"Tulio holds up his hand cutting off the woman as he walks closer to the tree and uses his camera to focus in closer to find the bird.

A flash of Blur cerulean blue rushed towards them, knocking the man over, causing his device to fall in a body of water.

Amidst their recovery,a single blue feather falls gracefully on the ground near their knees .

Surprised,the ornithologist picked up the feather and gave it a few tests to determine its authenticity.

The doctor gasped as he turned towards his wife making her smile in excitement,"Linda!This is incredible."

The forest canopy was soon filled with shouts of excitement from the two humans.
