Elemental Outbreak: Divinity

~Freya's POV~

I yawned as I slowly started to wake up, I grabbed the broken watch I found and saw it was nine in the morning, "at least I'm starting to have a consistent sleep schedule" I said to myself as I sat up and started to try and pop my back.

I looked over at Talia who was surprisingly still asleep, "hey are you up?" I asked her, she made a faint noise and rolled over, "I guess not" I said lightly laughing I got up and began to walk out the room we were in. I looked around the small area and noticed I was the only one up, I walked over to the boxes that Talia and Martin found and started to look through them.

I grabbed a MRE from one of the boxes and looked at it, "chicken and vegetables? I guess it can't be that bad" I said to myself as I grabbed one of the water bottles off the shelves and followed the instructions. After it was ready I looked into the bag at the supposed meal inside, "it could be worse" I said as I began to eat it, I made my way to the front door and looked through the small hole we put in it.

From what I could see there was no one or nothing out there "Seems like a quiet morning" I said to myself as I continued to eat, it's not a bad thing but it's a bit suspicious, I decided to move towards the counter and sat on it letting my legs dangle off, I then felt my a cold feeling hit my chest. I looked down and saw the necklace I made for Maura slipped inside my shirt.

I pulled it out and stared at it, "I wish you were here" I said to myself, "I wish we all were" I continued. Ever since we been on the run whenever I sleep I get this reoccurring dream or is it a nightmare? It brings me joy for a moment but then the pain, sadness and sorrow sets in, it sets in as soon as I realize it'll be just that, a dream.

~Freya's Dream~

I sat up in my bed and looked around I was back in the room I called mine in the penthouse, I rubbed my eyes as the morning sun was beaming in and the birds were singing. I got out the bed and walked to the room window and move the homemade curtain out the way, the view was the same buildings block most of the sky view, lots of destruction and death but within that the sun shines bright through the streets as where the sunrises the streets align allowing the light to flow. A corridor of sorts.

I walk out the room and head to the main room taking the elevator as I'm still to tired to put in the effort to take the stairs, I walk out and I'm greeted by Maura who I guess took the stairs, "hey you're up earlier than usual" she said, I lightly laugh "yeah I just have a odd schedule" I said she smiled and we walked side by side into the main room.

As we walked in everyone was smiling doing their own thing, Martin and Eliana are sitting at a table playing a card game, Jackson, Jasmine, and Haley are behind the bar laughing while Zephyr, Yazmin, and Zen are sitting outside chatting. "Morning love" I hear as Talia goes to hug me, we embrace. I then see Bryson walk up to Maura and open his arms for a hug which she quickly jumps into.

I smile as I take all this in, everyone enjoying life, just trying to survive, one big, happy, family. I look towards the middle of the room to see a grey figure standing there, alone. I let go of Talia and start to walk towards him but stop as everyone stands up and stares me down, I look around and a flash of red fills my vision and everyone is now dead, their bodies shredded, beaten and broken. Then my vision clears and all is normal and the figure is gone but a voice fills the room making it cold, "you couldn't even save one of them, what a shame, watch as they fall due to your weakness" and then more flashes happen until I wake up.

~current time~

I feel a tear run down my face as I stare at the necklace, "I'm sorry" I said and put it back in my shirt, I then heard a door click open and saw Yazmin walk out, I quickly clear my face. "Morning" she said as she walked towards me and sat on the counter with me. "Morning" I replied as I continued to eat "are you okay?" She asked, I nodded and finished chewing my food, "why wouldn't I be?" I said back, "you know there's no point of lying to me right?" She said, I sighed her and her damn power.
