Elemental Outbreak: Divinity

~Eliana's POV~

I stayed behind and watched as the elders walked out the meeting room. "Roman are you sure you're right about this?" I asked he looked almost baffled that I said that. "Of course, are you going to be like Catarina and question me?" He said I shook my head, "no, I just" I paused as he stepped in front of me. "I just wish they would see it how I see it and maybe death isn't the right option for them" I said he sighed. "Is that so? It didn't seem to be a problem last night and boy do I got to say that was a show." He said smiling how could he smile after something so horrible.

~One Day Ago~

"What have you done Eliana" I thought to myself as I stared at my hand. "You are turning out to be one strong asset Eliana" Roman said I smiled. "Thank you that was kind of a rush" I said he chuckled. "Yeah it is a, rush" he said. He ushered me to follow him out the room. "Where are we going?" I asked he didn't respond just had a blank look.

I followed him through the stronghold until we reach a back area I've never been and stopped in front of out of place wooden door. "I don't show anyone this room, but I feel given our circumstances, you deserve to see it" he explained and opened the door.

We walked in and the room shutting the door behind us. It was extremely cold and dark as we stepped in I could hear my footsteps lightly echo out "Roman I can't see" I said, I heard a light laugh and a yellow light illuminated the room.

I let my eyes readjust and was met with metal room, I looked around and noticed the walls had the Divine symbols carved out onto them like I couldn't pull them off. "What is this?" I asked Roman let the ball of light he was holding float above him, "Eliana, as high and mighty as I may seem, I'm not, every one has their moments and flaws" he explained and continued, "this room is my flaw, the things I do in here are my flaw" he said, sounding very creepy.

I don't know how I didn't notice maybe it was his built stature but on the other side of him was a dark tunnel that the light didn't reach. "What do you do in here that is such a flaw Roman?" I asked he formed another light ball and made it go to the darkened tunnel.

In the tunnel were people, they were chained up and had metal plates covering their eyes and mouths. "Roman" I said mortified I couldn't speak. "I come in here when I have hard days, when I need to, relax in way" he said he then formed a then metal beam and stretched it to a guy who was in the pile of people and pulled him closer by the chains wrapped around their chest. "How have they not broken free?" I asked, "I put metal pikes in there joints and other areas it stops the body from using its abilities hell I bet it's a mission to continue standing" he explained I couldn't believe my eyes.

"These are all people who defied me. People who think that all this is a joke unlike the ones you just killed theses ones don't need to be made an example of" he explained "and I will say Eliana this whole situation gots me stressed" he said and without even taking a breath he punched through the guys chest in a instant and blood splattered across my face. In that moment, seeing those people, hearing why they are here, seeing him just murder someone right in front of me. I quickly realized I might've fucked up.

The guys body went limp and fell the other people started moving around like they knew what had happened I could hear their muffled cries. "Just like that my stress has been cured" he said I felt my throat tighten and I began to shake, the coldness of the room really got to me or was it the fear I felt. "I can see you're also a bit distressed" he said and pulled a woman towards me.

"You say it's a rush I say it's like a weight lifted off my shoulder all the pain just floods into them" he said I looked at him confused. "There's other ways you know?" I said he shook his head, "not like this, just try to, I'm sure the next is always better than the first time." He said, it hadn't even been an hour and I'm already faced with the decision to kill someone again.
