Elemental Outbreak: Divinity

~Eliana's POV~

It took a little close to a day for the other members outside the strongholds safety to get back but as soon as they did Roman's attitude changed, sure I haven't known him long but this was definitely a shift.

"Tomorrow as soon as sunrise hits we all start preparing for a war, not just against that insignificant group in the theater but against the world, are divine expansion is happening whether the world is ready or not!" he yelled out as the insane amount of Divinity members cheered him on, "any one we find out there that opposes us will not be given a second chance! It's now or never! For a better tomorrow!" He continued and the crowd chanted his favorite words.

He ushered for Janet to take the stage and she began to give out motivational quotes for the other members, "what do you think my Divine Knight?" Roman asked me, I shrugged, "it seems I came at a perfect time right?" I said he chuckled, "of course but I mean pushing out? How does that make you truly feel?" He asked I thought for a moment, "if you were to have asked me before I joined I would've been scared, I would've said this is crazy but now, with such a force and so many people devoted to one goal I don't see how we'd fail, even with Talia and the others out there" I said he smiled and nodded, "excellent, now will you follow me" he said at first I thought he meant metaphorically but he then ushered me inside the main building.

I followed and we walked down one of the halls and ended up in a dimly candlelit room, "what are we doing?" I asked he exhaled like that exhale of comfort almost. I tried looking around but the candles didn't do much, "have you ever thought what makes some stronger than others?" He asked I was confused, "I mean I believe physically it has to do with the body and mentally it's how much will you have to push through anything" I said he nodded, "interesting, what if I told you that you'd never have to question your strength again? Physical or mental?" He said and then made a few balls of light that instantly lit up the room.

I saw the room had multiple remnants of the different elements we could use wood, ice, crystals, metal, but mostly blood, a lot of blood. I then followed where the blood picked up and saw three people tied up with bags over their head, I didn't know how I didn't hear them before he lit up the room, but they were making muffled noises and trying to scream, "What is this?" I questioned a bit horrified.

"Don't worry, they are people who betrayed us, it would've been five but Dontae and Daija will get theirs soon" he said I noticed that they had divinity marking on them and that they were bloody and bruised, "I had a blood user drain them almost completely dry so they won't escape, but let me ask you something Eliana" he said looking at me, that look on his face sent chills down my spine, his smirk didn't match the look in his eyes, they were locked in on me and I could see how dilated they were and see the look of insanity or at least someone who is on the brink of it.

"Okay ask away" I said I could feel my mouth begin to dry up, "have you killed anyone? Before you answer I don't care how I simply want to know if you have?" He said I quickly shook my head, "no I, no I don't think I have that in me, what are you getting at Ro" I was cut up as he rushed up to me and put a finger to my lip, "who were you about to mention?" He said his expression not changing, it was like he was on autopilot like the man that everyone here sees was actually in the driver seat, a personification of the entire Divinity.

"Sorry High Presence, I'm simply confused at why I'm here in this room" I said he chuckled, "I can't explain it fully maybe it's a placebo effect but I don't think that's the case, I've noticed when you take someone's life using your abilities it makes you, stronger." He said I quickly began to put two and two together I wanted to run, I couldn't possibly kill somebody, at least not somebody like this. In self defense maybe but like this no I couldn't.
