~Roman's POV, Two Days Ago~
I looked around at the concrete jungle that surrounded us and the night sky that had fallen on us. It had been a few weeks since I've been out here, the silence is actually quite nice compared to all the voices and noises at the stronghold. "High Presence we should hold up in here" one of the guys in our group said pointing to a apartment building, "we don't even know if its safe, how dare you risk the safety of the High Presence" another guy said I put my hand up, "its fine, I'll even clear it out myself, you all just hold the perimeter" I said to them, there was a total of six of us the other five were mid rank members I couldn't fully all there names or even remember if they are actually of use but it helps none of the less.
"You know I wouldn't dare to question you High Presence, but is this a safe choice?" the same guy said I remember his name, Gabriel, he is the type to try to hard to give a good impression, laugh at every joke even the bad ones kind of guy, "then don't, what kind of leader would I be if I let my followers do all the work?" I said he nodded I looked up and counted the floors, there was four total, possibly five with a basement in thought, I popped my knuckles and began to walk inside.
I slowly pushed the door open and instantly shot a blast of light at a undead who was standing in the center of the lobby, I shut the door behind me and chuckled, "shame you were alone in your final moments" I walked in and looked around until I saw a door that said maintenance. I blasted it off it's hinges and it shattered revealing a stair that led down, "I knew it" I said, I formed a metal beam and began to slam it repeatedly on floor and then waited for a moment, I heard a light groan and a figured formed at the bottom of the stairs. "Finally you show yourself" I said and then formed a light spearhead on top of the beam and then threw it down the stairs hitting the undead in the center of the head.
I sighed and looked down the hall to my right as I heard light banging, I walked down the hall knocking on each door I passed. I stood in front of the door that the banging was originally coming from and was about to open it until I noticed the door was forming ice on it, in a split second I felt a wave of heat and I flew back into the door behind getting launched into the room, I looked around and saw this room was empty I quickly got up and saw a undead with ice and fire blasting off it tumbling towards me, I formed a coat of metal all around my body and then was blasted with fire, "you're an aggressive one aren't you?" I said as I formed a light shield and pushed forward until I was in arms reach on grabbed it by the throat and sent multiple metal spikes through it.
I cleared the metal off my skin and shook my head, "how does someone so powerful die?" I said I thought back to the three people at home who could use that combination, mainly Catarina if she really focused she'd be a force to be reckoned, if she ascended like I have I may actually have a worthy successor. I opened another door on the first floor and was met with a metal ball but I caught and then broke it apart and then used my light to reform the pieces into daggers and threw them back at the undead. I waited for a moment and didn't hear anything else.
I walked back to the front door and opened the door, "High Presence, did you already, clear, it?" Gabriel said confused I looked at my shirt and cardigan and noticed they were both burned almost entirely, I didn't realized the blast from that undead was that much, "I got this first floor and the basement but I need you all to come in so no one is out in the open" I said as I ripped off the burned tops, feeling the cool night air hit my chest and shoulders, I looked down at my body seeing my muscular physique glimmer with sweat I then looked at the group as they walked in with certain stares, "enough, I'll find a new shirt or something soon, I'm heading up to finish up, board up the door and see what can be of use here" I said making my way up the stairs.
The second floor was pretty much empty there was few undead torn up to pieces but nothing serious, I continued to the third floor and was met with a undead on the stairs, I shot a metal beam into its chest and them slammed my fist closed making the beam explode with light sending the blood and guts all around, I put up a light shield so I wouldn't get covered in it. I peered down the third floor hall and didn't see any undead, I walked out and again made a metal beam and slammed it on the floor repeatedly and waited. I looked out the window that was in the hall, from here there was still a ton of buildings blocking my view but it was still a sight to see some of the night sky from a different place other than the stronghold.
