Elemental Outbreak: Divinity

~Talia's POV~

I flew back to the theater as fast as possible, so fast that I couldn't land right and fell over and rolled a couple feet on the ground scraping my arms and legs. "Fuck, I need to work on that" I said to myself and quickly ran to the theater and knocked rapidly. I know in my haste it was a bad idea considering there could've been zombies outside but I was too much in a rush.

I heard the door open and saw Martin looking concerned but quickly pulled me in, "¿estás loca? What the hell are you doing knocking like that?" He said sounding a bit mad which was understandable. I looked to see Daija, Dontae, and Blake were already down stairs and Freya and Yazmin soon quickly came down.

"Sorry, I just," I took a second to catch my breath. "I ran into their leader" I said I saw concern and confusion on everyone's face. "I knew something felt off we should've gone together" Freya said walking over to me. "What did he say? Should we be expecting him to come here?" Daija said I could hear the unease in her tone.

I shook my head, "that's the odd part, he let me leave he said he wanted us to either join him or run" I said Dontae quickly shook his head in disbelief. "That's insane there's no way he'd just let you go" he said I shrugged.

"I'm serious he said he was pulling all his people back and getting ready to expand and if we were here by the time he gets here we're dead" I said to him explaining everything that Roman told me. "I'm assume you didn't expect the cultist bastards deal right?" Blake questioned, "of course not, the plan stays the same. We attack today." I said proudly.

"You don't think he'd expect that?" Martin asked, I thought about it but he seems like a straight forward planner. "I told him we'd leave, but even if he's expecting us this is it guys, it's now or never if we leave we'll just be running forever" I said to them all. "Oh he also told me his name, Roman Barclay" I think Barclay was his last name at least. Dontae and Daija looked confused.

"Just like that he told you his name, his plan, and gave you the option to join him? What is his move?" Dontae said scratching his neck. "It doesn't matter Talia is right, I say we get our shit together just incase and go right now" Freya said right after, I still can't believe she's so willing to be by my side in this, she's just amazing like that I guess.

"Let's not be rash, we have all day I say we take a hour or so to prepare and then head out" Martin said I sighed. "I guess you're right, well y'all heard him and Frey let's get ready I'm sure today is going to be a long one" I said everyone had a look of unease but started to walk off.

I felt Freya put her hand on my back I turned to look at her. "Do you think we are making the right decision?" She asked, "I believe so, why are you having doubts?" I said making sure to take her feelings into consideration. "I guess a little, I was thinking about what comes after this, and I just hope we can make it there" she said I pulled her in for a hug and held her tightly.

"No matter what happens I'm sure we'll be the ones coming out on top" I said she lightly chuckled, "what?" I questioned wondering what she could be laughing in this moment. "I just don't know how you have that optimism" she said looking up at me and lightly kissing me.

"I feel like I have to make up for a lot. This past month and then some I haven't been the best I can be and yet I still feel like it's not enough" I said. I felt some doubt slip into my mind. Are we really going to be okay or are we biting off more than we can chew? Dreaming about saving everyone can only go so far if the actions can't back them up.

"I thinks it's more than enough and that's not coming from me as your girlfriend Talia but as someone you saved repeatedly" Freya said I blushed a bit and smiled and finally let her go. "You have stayed this optimistic even after everything that has happened, I wish I could say the same I almost lost it when you had Albien running in your head" she exclaimed, I shook my head, "you're my reasoning for being this way Freya" I said leaning down and kissing her one more time.
