Cyberchase: When Worlds Collide [On Hold]

The weekend arrived in a blur, and soon enough, the sun was dipping low over a beautiful, cloudless Saturday.

The city park buzzed with life as families, students, and nature enthusiasts gathered for the Kratt Brothers' Nature Awareness and Preservation Festival—an event dedicated to raising funds and awareness for endangered wildlife.

Booths lined the walkways, offering eco-friendly crafts, conservation exhibits, and delicious treats, while children laughed and played near the demonstration areas.

Among the attendees was Becky Botsford, joined by her parents, her younger brother TJ, and friends. While Becky and the others were fully engaged in the festivities, TJ looked as though he’d rather be anywhere else.

His only reason for tagging along? The rumor that WordGirl would be making an appearance later that evening.

Becky's father, Tim Botsford, smiled down at TJ. "Now, son, I know you're excited to see WordGirl, but remember, this event is about protecting the environment and learning how we can make a difference."

TJ took a bite of his cotton candy and shrugged. "Why should I care about the environment? It’s just a bunch of trees and rocks."

Becky let out a sigh. "TJ, the environment does a lot for us. If we don’t take care of it, we could lose important resources, like clean air and water."

"Exactly!" Violet added. "Trees give us oxygen, provide shade, and even bear fruit! And rocks? They create habitats for insects, which help keep the soil healthy."

TJ groaned. "Tree huggers," he muttered, rolling his eyes.

Without a second thought, he tossed his empty cotton candy cone over his shoulder. It landed on the ground a few feet away. Violet frowned, but silently picked it up and threw it into the nearest trash can.

"I'm gonna go explore," TJ announced, walking off before anyone could object.

"Just be back in time for the Kratt Brothers’ speech!" Sally Botsford called after him.

Meanwhile, Scoops turned to Becky. "Violet and I were gonna check out the wildlife exhibits. Wanna come?"

Becky hesitated, glancing toward a nearby vendor booth. "Actually, I was planning to explore on my own. I’ll catch up with you later, though!"

The moment she was out of sight, Becky slipped behind a booth and quickly transformed into WordGirl. With her loyal sidekick, Captain Huggy Face, at her side, she zipped through the festival grounds toward the main stage, where the Wild Kratts team was waiting.

Backstage, the Wild Kratts crew wei making final preparations. Koki was checking the microphone levels, Aviva was adjusting some last-minute visuals, and Chris and Martin Kratt peeked out at the growing crowd.

"WordGirl! Right on time!" Koki greeted her with a warm smile.

"Glad to be here!" WordGirl replied, equally enthusiastic.

"Wow," Martin murmured, scanning the massive audience. "Look at all those people!"

"It’s amazing!" Chris grinned. "It’s great to see so many folks here supporting conservation!"

"Yeah… I wish I could share your enthusiasm," came a nervous voice from the corner.
