The woman cleared her throat, breaking the awkward silence. "Well... I suppose introductions are in order. I'm Lois Griffin, and this is my husband, Peter."

Peter gave a lazy wave, taking a sip of his beer. "Hey, how ya doin’?"

Lois continued. "These are our kids—Meg," she gestured to the teenage girl, who offered a small, uninterested wave, "Chris," she pointed to the stocky blonde boy, who watched the newcomers curiously, "and Stewie."

Stewie, sitting on the couch, eyed the group with mild amusement. "Hmm. Quite the ragtag bunch we have here," he muttered.

"And, of course, this is our dog, Brian," Lois finished.

Brian, standing on his hind legs, gave a friendly nod. "Pleasure to meet you all."

Martin blinked. "Uh… did that dog just talk?"

Jackie, trying to roll with the weirdness, shook Brian’s paw. "Well, nice to meet you too!"

Matt took a deep breath and stepped forward. "I guess we should introduce ourselves too. I’m Matt, and this is Jackie, Digit, and Inez. We’re the Cybersquad!"

Martin followed suit. "I’m Martin!"

"And I’m Chris!" his brother added excitedly.

"And together, we’re the Wild Kratts!" They declared in unison.

"And I’m WordGirl," she said a little awkwardly.

Stewie raised an unimpressed eyebrow. "Good grief. This is somehow even more uncomfortable than that dinner we had with the hippies down the street."

"You mean the Andersons?" Chris Griffin blinked, tilting his head in confusion.

Peter’s eyes lit up as he turned to WordGirl. "Wait a second—are you a real superhero? That’s awesome! The closest thing we got to a superhero is that guy who hangs out in front of the liquor store in a bedsheet."

"You mean that drunk guy who yells at birds?" Meg asked, unimpressed.

Peter nodded. "Yeah, Captain Crazy-Pants! Man, what a legend."

"So, what kind of superpowers do you have?" Chris Griffin asked excitedly.

WordGirl straightened up proudly. "Well, I have super-strength, I can fly faster than the speed of sound, and I know every word in the English language!"

Chris Griffin blinked. "Wait… knowing words is your superpower?"

"Of course! Words are incredibly important!" WordGirl said, a bit defensive.

"Yeah, I dunno, sounds kinda lame," Chris Griffin admitted.

Peter shrugged. "Yeah, I was hoping for laser vision or at least something cool like—ooh!—exploding punches! But knowing words? That’s just… school with extra steps."

"Her name is WordGirl, what did you expect?" Stewie deadpanned.

WordGirl crossed her arms. "Well, it’s not lame! My vocabulary skills help me fight crime!"

Meg sighed. "Still sounds kinda lame."

"Shut up, Meg," Peter said automatically. "Besides, if I wanted to know what a word means, I’d just look it up in a dictionary."
