Confrontation In The M.N.S

The moment the team stepped through the portal, an eerie weightlessness washed over them. Their vision blurred for a split second before adjusting to their new surroundings.

They were no longer in Control Central. Instead, they found themselves in a vast, featureless expanse—a white void stretching infinitely in all directions.

There were no walls, no floors, no sky. Just an endless, ambient glow radiating from everywhere and nowhere all at once. The air was still, soundless, as if they had stepped into a space where time barely existed.

"Whoa..." Inez breathed, turning in slow circles. "This is... really weird."

"You can say that again," WordGirl muttered, her arms crossed. "This place feels empty."

"Are we in the Multiversal Networking System?" Matt asked, glancing around uneasily.

"Where are all the portals?" Martin asked, turning to Dr. Marbles with a puzzled look. "I thought you said there were supposed to be hallways leading to other worlds."

Dr. Marbles stroked his chin thoughtfully. "That’s because we’re not in the M.N.S. yet. This is the barrier zone—a protective space between Cyberspace and the system itself. It acts as a security layer to prevent direct access from any random portal."

"So… we’re stuck in some kind of waiting room?" Jackie raised an eyebrow.

"A very boring waiting room," Chris added, waving his hands in front of him as if trying to find a wall. "There’s nothing here."

"What if we can’t find it? What if we’re just stuck here forever?" Digit flapped his wings anxiously.

"Fear not, Digit." Dr. Marbles said calmly, already moving forward. "There is an entrance. We just need to locate the right frequency of spatial distortion."

"The right what now...?" Matt asked, blinking.

"It means there’s an invisible doorway hidden somewhere in this void," WordGirl translated, arms still crossed. "And we need to feel for it."

The group spread out slightly, running their hands through the air, hoping to find something—anything—that wasn't just empty space.

Then, suddenly—

"I've found it!" Dr. Marbles exclaimed, his excitement breaking the eerie silence.

"Really?" Digit squawked, flapping over to him. "Because all I found was nothing!"

"Trust me, it's here!" Dr. Marbles insisted, stepping toward a seemingly random patch of air. Then, without hesitation, he turned—and walked straight into what looked like an invisible wall. And vanished.

"Whoa! Did you guys see that?!" Matt shouted, eyes wide.

"He just disappeared!" Chris Kratt yelped. "Like some kind of magic trick!"

"That was no magic trick," Jackie said, narrowing her eyes. "That’s our entrance!"

The rest of the group hesitated for just a moment before exchanging determined nods.

"Alright, here goes nothing!" Matt declared.

One by one, they stepped forward—vanishing into the unseen entrance, leaving the empty white void behind.

....

Stepping through the invisible barrier, the group found themselves in a circular chamber with an impossibly sleek, futuristic design.

The walls were smooth and white, glowing faintly as if the very material emitted light. A large, round table sat in the center, surrounded by chairs that looked far too advanced for simple sitting.
