CH 9. Void Of Fire.

I started to walk down the hall and kick every door open but was ultimately met with the same thing in each room, emptiness and dust. "Surprisingly this place isn't filled with the undead" I said and continued my way up to the final floor. I looked down and saw a undead standing there very reminiscence of the first one I saw here, I threw the metal beam at it but the beam bounced off, "well I got its attention" I said, it quickly tossed a acid ball with a boulder in it, I formed a light shield reinforced with metal and took the hit head on, "fuck me, a troublesome combination" to my specific ability set acid and earth is the combination that can rival me if used right as the acid breaks both my abilities down and the earth part makes it so my metal can't pierce it easily but at the moment lucky for me I'm face to face with a undead. I dissipate the shield and rush at the undead, it shoots another acid ball but I duck under and then begin to turn my arms to solid light with a metal skeleton and then duck under another ball and then lunge at it sending my fist into its mouth and then with a bight forceful light I explode its head.

I chuckle "you would've been a formidable foe if you were alive I'm sure" I said and looked around and then down at my chest which had some blood and brain fragments on it, "dammit" I said trying to clean my chest. I walked into a room and started to scavenge for a shirt and towel, I easily found both it seems the people who stayed were in a hurry to get out. I fully cleaned my chest and put the shirt on which was a little snug but it works for the time being, I began to make my way down and saw the group had set everything down, "find anything useful?" I asked looking at the group, "just clothes High Presence" Gabriel said, I nodded, "Same here, well we should take the second floor for safety and leave at dawn" I said I got a collective yes High Presence as everyone started to make their way up to the second floor.

~Talia's POV, Current Time~

"Left me behind huh?!" I heard Albiens voice ring out in my head as I laid on the cold floor of my room, "you are nothing without me!" Even if he was just a voice in my head and the anger he had when he yelled was intense, so much so I could feel it. "Leave me alone, please, I don't want this" I replied back knowing it wouldn't get me anywhere.

"You do! I can feel it you think I'm just some figment of your imagination but I am here!" He yelled out more as I felt my arms start to lift on their own, "I am apart of you Talia and you are just going to have to accept it!" He continued I got up and walked out the room into the main area, "why are you so afraid, you saw and felt what good I can do for you, it's a good relationship, we merge together you get to save your precious family like I said and I get to continue on living as you know I didn't have much of a life to begin with" Albien said I rubbed my temple and sat on the counter.

"Your life is over once I figure out how to get rid of you" I said then felt a pain surge all throughout my chest, I clenched at my chest as it was getting hard to breathe, "go ahead I dare you" he said and the pain instantly stopped, "if you could that is" he said and I was going to say something back when I heard Yazmin's door open, "oh you're already up?" She said looking confused and still half asleep.

I cleared my throat and rubbed my chest, "yeah you know I get up early" I said to her, she shrugged in response, "you haven't been getting up early lately" she said, "yeah I'm uh working on it" I said stretching trying to imply everything was good, "don't make me do this forcefully Talia" I heard Albien said I cleared my throat again, "so whenever you're ready" I said to Yazmin she nodded and yawned as she got a water bottle from the shelf and walked back towards her room, "let me get dressed" she said and then the door closed.

"Just leave me be, you've done too much" I said then felt a cold feeling on my neck, "don't be rash, and don't underestimate me, you know I could just make you kill everyone in here if I really wanted to" he said then the cold feeling like hands flowing down my arms hit my hands and they raised on their own. I forced myself to put them back down, "stop it!" I yelled out and then quickly covered my mouth.
