The smoothie shop was a cozy haven, filled with the sweet aroma of fresh fruit and the cheerful hum of conversation. Oikawa, with his usual flair, was in the middle of giving a dramatic pitch about the dragon fruit smoothie's merits when Iwaizumi strolled in, looking slightly exasperated.

"Hey, Iwaizumi!" Oikawa called out, his voice dripping with enthusiasm. "Welcome to the smoothie extravaganza!"

Iwaizumi glanced at Oikawa's exaggerated gestures and deadpanned, "Looks like someone's been on a smoothie high."

Y/N, sitting across from them, couldn't help but chuckle. "I'm starting to see the appeal. Oikawa's definitely sold me on this dragon fruit smoothie."

As they all settled into their seats and sipped their smoothies, the conversation naturally drifted toward the upcoming exams.

"So, how's everyone feeling about the exams?" Himari asked, taking a thoughtful sip of her smoothie.

Iwaizumi sighed dramatically. "We need to pass these exams to qualify for the Interhigh preliminaries. If we fail, we'll be stuck with supplementary tests, which would totally mess with our practice schedule."

Oikawa groaned in exaggerated despair. "And I was just starting to enjoy the idea of endless volleyball practice!"

Y/N raised an eyebrow. "Is that sarcasm, or do you actually enjoy volleyball practice?"

"Both," Oikawa admitted with a grin. "But mostly sarcasm. I'm more worried about my math test. I barely passed last time."

"Math?" Y/N echoed, raising an eyebrow. "That sounds like a rough spot."

Iwaizumi nodded. "Oikawa's math scores are... let's just say they don't inspire confidence. And with the exams coming up, he's going to need all the help he can get."

Oikawa gave a sheepish grin. "Hey, I'm good at spiking balls, not equations."

Himari's eyes lit up with an idea. "Hey, Y/N, since you're a top student in Class 3-7, how about tutoring Oikawa? I'm sure he could use the help, and you might find it entertaining."

Y/N blinked, surprised. "Me? Tutor Oikawa?"

"Yep!" Himari said, practically bouncing in her seat. "You're a math genius, and Oikawa could use a little of that genius."

Oikawa looked at Y/N with a hopeful expression. "Please, Y/N. I promise I'll be a good student. I'll even bring snacks."

"Snacks?" Y/N said, her curiosity piqued. "Now you're speaking my language."

"Excellent," Oikawa said, looking triumphant. "I knew you'd come around."

As they continued their chat, the group joked about the upcoming exams and shared funny stories from past test experiences. Oikawa even attempted to explain his math struggles with an overly dramatic reenactment of him "fighting" numbers, much to everyone's amusement.

"You should see him try to solve a quadratic equation," Iwaizumi said with a smirk. "It's like watching a cat try to figure out a puzzle."

Y/N laughed. "Sounds like a challenge worth accepting. I'll do my best to make sure Oikawa doesn't become a math dropout."

Oikawa clapped his hands together in excitement. "I'm looking forward to it. And don't worry, I'll make sure our tutoring sessions are full of fun—and maybe a few snacks."

As they finished their smoothies and got up to leave, Y/N felt a pleasant sense of camaraderie. She was looking forward to the tutoring sessions and the chance to get to know Oikawa and his friends better.

"So," Oikawa said with a grin, "how about we all meet up again after practice tomorrow? I'll bring the snacks, and Y/N can bring the brainpower."

"Deal," Y/N said with a smile. "I'll see you all then."

As they headed out, Y/N couldn't help but feel that this unexpected twist—helping Oikawa with math—might turn out to be an interesting and fun new chapter in her school life. And with friends like Himari and Oikawa, she had a feeling it would be anything but boring.
