Your face fell into a frown as you watched your best friend pull the order ticket that had just come from the printing machine. "Aren't you gonna take my order?" you ask offended. In response, he held up the ticket in his hand with a smile. "Right here,"

Oh.

"But I didn't tell you–"

He cuts you off and starts reciting what's on the ticket, "One tuna mayo onigiri, miso soup, and salmon sushi," he with a grin creeping onto his face. You grew quiet before he spoke his next words. "I'm right, aren't I?"

You still don't respond and take a step back from the counter. "I'm just gonna sit out here until you're done," you respond taking a few steps backwards.

Osamu laughed as you hurried to a nearby table he took the order ticket to the kitchen.

"So," Haru spoke up causing you to turn and face the trio of teens. You quirked a brow waiting for the boy to continue. "You guys are getting married in secret," he concluded and your eyes nearly jumped out of your skull.

"You are so far off Haru."

Chinatsu chimed in when she saw the look on your face. "You guys are going to a wedding though, right?" in response to the girls' theory you only nod. "Are you guys going together?" Minato asked while wiggling his eyebrows suggestively.

You glared at the trio one last time before deciding to ignore them. As you pulled out your phone from your pocket they chose to continue asking questions. None of which you answered. At some point during their pathetic attempt at interrogating you a small wave of customers entered the store.

Not long after that, Osamu reappeared from the kitchen and told you it was good to follow him to his office now.

When you follow him through the kitchen and to his office, you spot your food already on his desk when you enter. "That smells so good," you muse as you run past the brunette and to his desk.

There was not only your food but what you assumed was his right across from yours.

Osamu made his way around his desk to sit at his seat as you sat across from him. His office was very neat and reflected his personality fairly well. There was minimal decoration but for the things that he did have on walls, they were photos or awards.

The photos that stuck out in particular were two with you in them. The oldest photo of the two was from High School and it was a Polaroid on the bulletin board in his office.

It was taken by Atsumu and it was of you eating one of Osamu's meals for the first time while Osamu watched you with a smile. It was a fond memory and you had a copy of the photo at your apartment. Ever since that day, you had asked him to pack an extra lunch for you. Which he did.

The other photo was of you, the twins, some mutual friends, and their family at the grand opening of the restaurant. It was from a few years back and there were huge smiles spread accessed each of your faces. The photo hung in the center of the wall opposite the bulletin board.

It was surrounded by all of Osamu's certificates and awards he had earned since opening.

"Osamu I'm going to be extra upset the day you finally get a girlfriend," you joke as you take a bite into your food.

The joke must not have landed properly because Osamu nearly spit out his food and his eyes were wide. "What? Why!?" he questioned trying his best to swallow his food. "I don't think I could enjoy your cooking the same or visiting your office, feels too intimate. I'd need to respect your partner," you laugh at his frantic state.

"Oh yeah," he agrees with a nod. "You won't have to worry abo ur that. We both know I'm not looking and I won't be any time soon," he tells you—still he hasn't laughed at your joke.

Clearly, it wasn't your best.

You pick up your chop ticks now and eat one of your sushi while avoiding eye contact with the brunette.

Sensing your sudden change in mood Osamu clears his throat and sets his utensils down. "So about Atsumu's wedding?"

"Oh right," you had almost forgotten there was a reason you stopped by. Setting your chopsticks on your plate you grabbed your phone from your jacket pocket and pulled up messages between you and Atsumu. "Atsumu texted me about hotel rooms..." you trailed off while handing your phone to Osamu.

The brunette grabbed the phone from you and you watched as his eyes narrowed while reading the message. "Yeah I think he sent me a message about this earlier," he told you while handing your phone back to you. "Oh, so do you not want to share a room then?" you quirked a brow while accepting your phone.

"Huh?" Suddenly Osamu's demeanor had changed and his eyes were widened, his posture strained, and his body tensed. "Yeah...Atsumu said that since we're going as each other's date he'd book us a room together," you say with a roll of your eyes. "Can I see the messages again?" he asks in a nonchalant tone–opposite of his body language.

Confused you hand the phone back to him and this time he scrolls down to read the more recent messages. "So you're okay with sharing a hotel room?" he asks glancing up to inspect your face.

"Yeah I don't mind, I'd prefer it actually." you shrug off casually.

"Really?"

"Yeah, I mean I'd rather not be put in a room with some soon-to-be in-law I don't know. Plus I'd be much more comfortable around you for obvious reasons," you explained while Osamu nodded along with your words. "Right, yeah that makes sense." He agrees handing back your phone once more.

You let out a sigh of relief before a smile takes over your face. "Thank God," you breathe out relieved. "I was thinking you'd be opposed to the idea," you admit as you get your phone down next to your plate and pick up one of your onigiri.

"Why would I be opposed?" Osamu quizzed while folding his arm over his chest. "Well you already offered to be my date so I thought maybe sharing a room would be crossing a line for you,"

"You overthink too much," The restaurant owner quipped with an eye roll. A smile spread across your face while you finally took a bite out of your tuna mayo onigiri. "Seriously though, of course, I wouldn't mind, you have to stop thinking like that," he tells you reaching for his bowl of soup.

When he scooted it closer to himself he grabbed his chopsticks preparing to take a portion of the ingredients. However, when he caught a glance at your messy eating he started to laugh. "How did you manage to drop that much of it?" Osamu asked holding back a laugh at the amount of rice that fell onto your plate.

"I don't know Osamu, you tell me! You made it!" you replied in a playful shout followed by a burst of laughter. "Woah, don't blame me! I don't make mistakes," He retorted quickly while pointing an accusing finger at you.

You shook your head in fake disappointment at your best friend while covering your mouth since you were chewing. "I'll give you that I guess," you sigh dramatically after swallowing your food.

For a moment the two of you just eat in a comfortable silence. You were always appreciative of little aspects like this in your friendship. The two of you were always comfortable around each other no matter the situation. You were able to sit in silence without acknowledging each other and it would never feel awkward.

You both had finished eating at about the same time, you finished just barely before Osamu though. "Do you have work today?" Osamu asked as he started grabbing the empty dishes and stacking them on top of each other.

"No, I work tomorrow though. So I won't be able to stop by for lunch," you frowned at the realization. "Ah," Osamu mused standing up with the dishes, you followed along behind him as he started to walk out of the office to dispose of the dishes in the kitchen sink.

"Can I bring you lunch tomorrow still?" Osamu asks pushing his office door open and walking through the kitchen. "You don't have to," you tell him as he sets the dishes in a sink filled with soapy water and now he's following you out of the kitchen.

"I asked If I could, not if you wanted me to," he states before stepping in front of you quickly to open the door back to the lobby. He's behind you again after you walk out to the lobby and you stop in your tracks to face him. "If you want to you can, but it's not necessary  –"

"Alright, see you tomorrow at lunch then,"
