CHAPTER THIRTEEN

"Do we actually have to dance?" You ask Osamu as you both stand in the wide bathroom mirror fixing your appearance. Atsumu had sent both of you messages saying to dress nice—even if it was just a rehearsal.

In the mirror, Osamu was running his fingers through his brown hair and he snuck quick glances at you—who touched up your mascara. "I don't think Atsumu would just say we're doing a dance and be lying," he quips in response and you crack a smile. Through a stifled laugh, you put your mascara wand back in the tube and twist it shut. "Still I am not a dancer," you cringe at the image of you dancing.

Osamu shakes his head and laughs, "Neither am I," he says "So we're both stuck in this together," he lets out a soft sigh. His hands finally leave his hair as he readjusts the collar on his button-up. "There's gotta be some way for us to get out of it," you frown as you return your mascara to your makeup bag. Quickly you dust off any wrinkles in the mini dress you wore.

The wrinkles are the outcome of the dress being roughly balled up and tossed into your luggage. "I doubt we'll be getting out of it,' The brunette replies, glancing at you in the mirror. "We should head down now," You let out a heavy sigh as you check the time on your phone.

Your best friend nods and follows you out of the bathroom, and then out of the hotel room. You both make conversation on the way down—making guesses on what this dance is going to look like. "I hope Atsumu didn't help choreograph anything," Osamu comments through gritted teeth as you exit the elevator.

A belly laugh escapes you at the sound of the comment and you try your best to contain it before you smack Osamu's shoulder. "Seriously, could you imagine how bad it'd be?" you quip back, and this time the brunette lets out a laugh similar to yours.

Now you're both clutching your stomachs while trying to keep your composure as you approach the ballroom—where rehearsals were being had.

Before even entering the room you both have to bring yourselves back down to earth from the nonstop laughing. When you finally did so, you entered the spacious room as if nothing had happened.

Your eyes wandered around the room in search of anyone else you might know. Luckily you saw two very familiar faces who were Groomsmen in the wedding-–Aran and Kita. When the two of them saw you and Osamu they gave each other a suggestive glance, which only you caught.

Immediately you pressed your lips together into a thin line at the sight before shaking your head and the two. When the duo approached the both of you finally-–drinks in hand–Aran is the first to make a comment. "Fancy seeing you two here," he says, bringing his glass up to his lips for a drink.

You furrow your eyes at the brown-skinned man, "You're saying that like it's unusual and surprising," you murmur. "You two just look like a happy couple," Kita casually slips up before mirroring Aran's actions and taking a sip of his drink.
