My breath caught in my throat as the weight of Odin's words settled upon me.
Marry Thor?
The very thought sent a shiver down my spine, my mind racing with uncertainty. But as I looked around at the chaos and destruction surrounding me, I knew that I had no choice but to accept.
For the sake of my people, for the hope of peace, I would do whatever it took to ensure their survival—even if it meant marrying a god.
"I accept." I murmured softly, my voice barely above a whisper.
Though my heart ached with uncertainty, I knew that I had made the right choice—for my people, for their future.
But as I spoke the words, exhaustion washed over me, dragging me into the depths of unconsciousness. Darkness engulfed my senses, and I surrendered to its embrace.
*Dream*
I found myself in an ancient ruin where the air was thick with ancient energy, and the landscape around me was both familiar and foreign.
Before me stood a huge, beautiful tree whose branches stretched infinitely into the sky, shimmering with a mystic light. The leaves rustled with a sound that seemed to carry whispers of time itself.
At first, I did not recognize the people gathered around the base of the tree. They wore intricate robes adorned with natural elements—leaves, vines, and flowers woven into the fabric.
Their attire was both regal and wild, reminiscent of the deep, unspoiled forests.
It was then I noticed the Yggdrasil tattoos on their left arms, identical to the one I bore. Realization dawned on me.
These were my ancestors, the legendary Yggdrasil Healers.
I saw how they performed a ritual, their hands moving gracefully as they chanted in an ancient tongue that I could not understand.
The World Tree responded, its luminescence growing stronger, as if transferring its power to the healers.
I began to feel a powerful urge to move closer, to join them, to understand the ritual and the secrets of my heritage. However, an invisible force held me back, restraining me from advancing.
I struggled against it, but it was no use; I could only watch from a distance.
Suddenly, a tall, young Norse man emerged from the shadows. His presence was commanding and ominous. He walked with purpose towards the group.
The elder, who seemed to be leading the ritual, stepped forward to meet him. Their conversation started quietly, but it quickly escalated into a heated argument.
The tension was palpable, and I could sense the danger in the air.
The Norse man's face contorted with rage. He turned away from the elder, and as he did, the dreamscape shifted dramatically.
Flames erupted around Yggdrasil sanctuary, consuming everything in their path. The screams of my ancestors filled the air, blending with the crackling of the fire.
Panic surged through me as I watched the chaos unfold, helpless to intervene.
Amidst the inferno, a shadowy figure with dark, black hair stood over the scene, exuding malevolence.
It's him again!
The figure moved with lethal grace, grabbing the elder by the neck and lifting him up in the air. The elder's eyes locked onto mine, filled with desperation and a plea for my safety.
