I heard someone calling out my name and felt myself being pressed against a firm chest.
My eyes fluttered open, and I groaned softly, feeling disoriented. I saw Captain Ragna in front of me, his expression filled with worry.
Wait, if Captain Ragna is in front of me, then who's holding me?
I turned my head up a bit and saw that it was Thor. His expression remained the same as always, stoic, but I could see just a flicker of concern in his features.
"Thor?" I muttered, then asked Captain Ragna, "What happened?"
"You collapsed while chanting the spell." Captain Ragna explained. "Did you see something?"
I nodded slowly, trying to make sense of the fragmented memories. "I saw... pieces of the past. It was too much all at once."
I immediately cursed my disorientation, I did not want to mention seeing memories of the past since Thor and Captain Ragna would surely report this to Odin. Suddenly, a headache hit me. I held a hand over my head.
"Lady Y/n, you need to rest. This technique is more taxing than we anticipated." Captain Ragna said.
I took a few deep breaths, regaining my composure. "I need to keep practicing. I have to unlock my ancestors abilities if I want to be useful in the upcoming battle."
I then felt a large hand on the small of my back and looked up at Thor.
"Take it one step at a time." Thor told me, his voice steady. "You need to be careful."
I just nodded and replied, "I will."
It was then I realized that I was sitting on Thor's lap. Seeing that I was in a compromising position, I tried to stand up, but I was still feeling weak from the spell. I fell once again, and Thor caught me by my waist, setting me down in his lap again.
I let out a nervous laugh. "It seems I need to stay here a little longer."
Captain Ragna shook his head. "You're quite reckless sometimes, My Lady."
I scratched the back of my head and laughed nervously. "Sorry."
Captain Ragna looked at the sun to tell the time. "Well would you look at the time, I need to take a look at something for the upcoming battle and need to leave."
I nodded and thanked him. "I'll be fine. Thank you again."
Captain Ragna nodded, bowed to both Thor and I, and bid his farewell, flying off into the sky.
After a few seconds of silence, I hesitantly asked Thor, "How are you here?"
"I often spend my time here." Thor replied briefly.
I looked at him, a bit surprised.
"Do you like looking at the plants in the garden?"
Thor nodded.
I never would have thought a war-hungry God like him would like to spend his time in a garden of all places.
I then remembered the Yggdrasil flower that I was trying to sow.
"Did the flower appear?" I asked out loud.
Thor looked confused. "Flower?"
I looked at the empty lot of soil and saw that nothing was there.
I pouted. "Aw man, it didn't work."
"What flower are you talking about?" Thor asked.
I reached out for my book to the side of me, causing Thor to put his hand on my belly to keep me steady. I slightly tensed at his touch, but shrugged it off. Then, I showed him the flower in the book, causing him to lean over my shoulder.
