across the city...
Taehyung stood by the window, gazing out at the bright lights of Seoul, a calm resolve settling over him. His decision was made. He had already whispered his final goodbye to Jungkook, a quiet acknowledgment that this chapter was closed, that he wouldn't be pulled back into the same cycle of hope and hurt.
He had plans now, a way forward. His cousins Jin and Namjoon had been asking him to move in with them for ages, ever since the day he lost his mother. That day still haunted him - Jin had been pregnant then, unable to travel, (um yes I decided to make it mpreg)and Namjoon had stayed by his side, sending their support from afar. Since the funeral, they had nagged him, urging him to come live with them, to find a new beginning with family who loved him unconditionally.
And now, he was finally ready to accept. The idea of starting over, of leaving everything behind, felt like a breath of fresh air. He would go, start a new life, rebuild himself from the pieces Jungkook had left behind.
The only thing left was telling Jimin. Jimin, who had been by his side through it all, his best friend, his confidant - the one person who knew every corner of his heart. Taehyung knew this decision would hurt him, but it had to be done. For once, he was choosing himself, choosing peace over a love that had turned toxic.
As Taehyung stared out at the city lights, a bittersweet smile touched his lips. This was his turning point, his chance to step away from the shadows and into a new dawn. He didn't know what lay ahead, but he was sure of one thing - this time, he wasn't looking back.
"Is this really the turning point I need, or just another illusion, another lie I'm telling myself to ease the ache?"

11:23pm
The shrill ring of his phone broke through the suffocating silence that had fallen over his apartment. Taehyung didn't even need to look at the screen to know who it was.
Jimin.
He rolled over on his bed, pressing his face into the pillow, trying to drown out the chaos in his mind.He just wanted a while longer, to numb the ache that gnawed at his chest.
The phone rang again.
I can't do this, Taehyung thought, his fingers hovering over the screen as he debated whether to answer. But then, before he could make up his mind, the phone stopped ringing and vibrated with a new text message.
