POV:

The moment Jungkook's eyes fluttered open, a wave of panic washed over him. The empty side of the bed felt like a void threatening to consume him, and for a brief, terrifying moment, he thought it had all been a dream. Heart pounding, he ran to the bathroom, then checked every room. His mind raced with worst-case scenarios until he stepped into the kitchen.

There, on the table, was his favorite breakfast-carefully prepared, as only Taehyung could-and a handwritten note that made his heart swell.

"Kookie, today marks the day we first met. I remember it like it was yesterday. Meet me at the bridge."

A blush crept across Jungkook's cheeks, spreading warmth through his chest. His appetite vanished, replaced by a jittery excitement, but he couldn't ignore the meal Taehyung had made. Every bite tasted like love.

After a hurried shower, Jungkook changed outfits more times than he could count, each glance in the mirror bringing a flood of nerves and anticipation. Finally satisfied-or as close as he could be-he headed to the bridge where their story began.

---🥀

As he approached, his breath caught in his throat. The bridge was transformed-dim fairy lights twinkled like stars, flowers arranged in delicate cascades, the soft scent of candles filling the air. It was like stepping into a dream, one crafted with love and memories.

Tears welled up, blurring the beauty before him. He knew, deep down, he didn't deserve this-didn't deserve Taehyung's unwavering love. But the selfish part of him clung tightly to it, to Taehyung, unwilling to let go.

"Why are you crying, Kookie?"

Taehyung's voice broke through his thoughts, gentle and teasing. Jungkook turned, tears spilling freely now, and rushed into his arms. The world felt right again.

He clung tighter to Taehyung, burying his face into his shoulder, the familiar scent calming yet intensifying the storm within him.

"I... I don't deserve you, Tae," Jungkook's voice cracked, muffled by tears. "I've messed up so badly, and yet... you're still here."

For a moment, silence stretched between them, heavy with unspoken words. Then, Taehyung pulled back slightly, his eyes locking with Jungkook's. "You're right. You don't deserve me," he said, his tone serious.

Jungkook's heart sank, his breath catching in his throat. He opened his mouth to speak, but Taehyung's expression softened into a playful smile, and he lightly smacked Jungkook's arm. "But I'm too stubborn to leave you alone," he chuckled, the sound light and teasing, breaking the tension.

Jungkook blinked, stunned for a moment, before a shaky laugh escaped his lips. "Tae..."

Taehyung stood up, walking toward  their car and pulling out a small box. "Look what I brought," he announced, placing it on the table. He opened it to reveal a simple cake, the scent of vanilla filling the air . "Remember how we used to bake cakes for each other on our birthdays?"
