Jungkook's POV

The night air was cold against my face, the wind whipping through my hair as we sped down the empty streets. Taehyung sat behind me, his arms wrapped tightly around my waist, his head resting on my back.

The quiet roar of the bike was the only sound between us, but it felt more intimate than any conversation. Every now and then, I felt Taehyung's grip tighten, and it sent a shiver down my spine-comforting, grounding, yet bittersweet.

How did we end up here? After everything...

"Are you okay back there?" I called over the noise of the engine.

I felt his head nod against my back. "Yeah."

But I knew better.

---

Arriving at the Apartment

We pulled up outside my apartment, and I killed the engine. Neither of us moved at first, just sitting in the stillness. I could feel Taehyung's breath against my neck, steady but heavy.

"You smell like a bar," he muttered, finally letting go and climbing off the bike.

I laughed weakly, taking off my helmet. "Yeah... I know. Sorry."

He sighed, shaking his head. "Come on, let's get you cleaned up."

---

Inside the Apartment

The ride up the elevator was silent. Taehyung stood close, but not too close, his arms crossed as he stared at the floor. I couldn't blame him. After everything, how could I?

When we got inside, he immediately started walking around, tidying up.

"You don't have to do that," I said quietly.

He shot me a look. "Go shower, Jungkook."

I nodded, too tired to argue.

---

After the Shower

I stepped out of the bathroom, toweling my damp hair. Taehyung was sitting on the edge of the bed, scrolling through his phone. When he looked up, his eyes softened.

"Feel better?"

I nodded, walking over to sit beside him. "Yeah."

For a moment, neither of us said anything. Then, quietly, he leaned his head on my shoulder.

"You know... tomorrow's the day we met," I whispered.

He lifted his head, looking at me. "Yeah?"

"At the bridge."

He didn't say anything, just hugged me, and I clung to him like a lifeline.

---

Cuddling and Memories

We lay on the bed, facing each other. Taehyung's head rested on my chest, his arms wrapped around me. I ran my fingers through his hair, my heart aching with the weight of everything unspoken.

"Remember when we were kids?" I murmured. "You always followed me around."

He laughed softly. "And you pretended to hate it."

"I didn't," I admitted. "Not even once."

He looked up at me, his eyes shining. "Why didn't you say anything?"

I swallowed hard. "I was... scared. I didn't want to lose you."

He didn't say anything, just tightened his hold on me.
