"No." Yeonjun said and Beomgyu gave him a look. "Why do you want to hang out with me and my friends?""I haven't meant them? Aren't we friends? Why can't I join you on one of your nights out with them?" He asked.
His face was tear-stained because he had just finished telling Yeonjun about the horrible start to his day. He needed a shoulder to cry on and he was there in mere minutes, but when asked what he wanted to do to cheer up, 'clubbing with you and your friends' wasn't what Yeonjun thought he was going to say.
"I just don't think it's a good idea."
"Why?"
"Beomgyu—"
"Are you ashamed of me?"
Yeonjun looked surprised and then angry. "What? No, no. Why would you say that?"
"The only person I've met is Taehyun. I don't have a lot of friends but you...I just don't understand why you are so against this. Your friends are a reflection of the kind of people you surround yourself with. Taehyun is nice, are your other friends not? I'm just trying to understand."
Yeonjun didn't know what to say. He couldn't have him meet everyone, not everyone knows about what he's doing and bringing Beomgyu out with them suddenly with no prep could lead to a disaster of a night; but the way he was looking at him hurt his heart.
"I'm not ashamed of you Beomgyu." He brushed his hair out of his face. "I'm really sorry if that's how it's coming across because it's not. My friends are good people and I love them just as much as I...love you. As a friend."
"You...love me?" His eyes started to water.
"Don't cry..." but the silent tears started. "Aww you're so cute."
"I love you too hyung." Yeonjun's heart skipped a beat. They loved each other...as friends of course. He was so happy to hear that from him.
"I do want you to come, it's just a clubbing environment for a little Angel like you? It makes me worried."
Beomgyu laughed a little. "I'll be with you. I'll be okay, I just want to have a little fun for once."
"Okay, then you can come with us tomorrow night. Don't feel obligated to do anything you don't want to do. No one will pressure you."
Beomgyu hugged him. "Thanks hyung, it'll be fun relax. You sound like my dad."
...
Now that Yeonjun was looking at him he was regretting letting him come.
He looked good. Really good.
"Do I look okay hyung? I hope it's not too much."
Beomgyu was wearing a black sheer, long sleeve cropped shirt with a black spaghetti strap shirt underneath that was also cropped. He wore dark blue jeans and pretty sparkly eyeshadow, blush and pink lip gloss.
Yeonjun swallowed. He looked really good.
"You look..." he scratched the back of his head. "Wow."
Beomgyu blushed under his gaze and looked away from him. "Thanks, should we go?"
"...y-yeah yeah of course let's go."
On the drive there his mind was fuzzy and it was incredibly hot despite his shirt being partially unbuttoned. He told his friends about Beomgyu but told them to not talk to him too much, especially about him. He didn't want them to know too much or say too much.
When they arrived to the club, everyone was already inside and Yeji was waiting by the door for them, well, for Yeonjun.
"Yeonjun." She called and waved, she saw Beomgyu and her eyes fixed on him. He didn't tell her he was coming. "Oh...hi...who are you?"
Beomgyu gave a nervous smile and wave. "Choi Beomgyu." He looked at Yeonjun and nudged him.
"My friend, this is my friend. We are friends."
Yeji gave him a look and then smiled at Beomgyu. "Nice to meet you." She bowed slightly. "Yeonjun, they've already started ordering drinks." She took his hand and Beomgyu noticed as she pulled him away.
He slowly followed behind as they walked inside the music and bass seemed to vibrate through his entire body. The flashing lights that shined in his eyes made him squint whenever they would pass over his face. He accidentally bumped into someone and yelled an apology over the music and quickly went to catch up with Yeji and Yeonjun. They found their table and everyone cheered when they saw Yeonjun. He stood back a little and watched, it made him a smile they clearly were close.
One of the guys spotted Beomgyu and pointed. "Who's that hottie?"
Taehyun looked over and his lips parted in shock as he looked at him.
Beomgyu looked at everyone staring at him and he smiled awkwardly with a small bow.
"This is my friend Beomgyu remember?"
"Ohhhhh heyyyyy!"
Beomgyu laughed a little and waved.
"I'm Wooyoung, come have a drink with us."
Beomgyu sat down next to Taehyun who passed him a bottle of soju.
"Thanks."
"No problem. You drink?"
"Of course." He lied.
He opened it and took a sip and it tasted like...nothing? He shrugged and drank it normally. He looked around and watched Yeonjun talking with his friends and how Yeji would touch his shoulder or playfully hit him. He looked down at the bottle, tapping his finger gently. Taehyun noticed even though Yeonjun was clearly distracted.
He leaned into Beomgyu's ear. "You okay?"
Beomgyu looked at him and nodded. "I guess I didn't think about all the other people. He seems a little occupied."
"He won't be for long. Wanna dance with me? I'm not listening to the conversation."
Beomgyu thought about it and shrugged. He finished the rest of his soju and stood up pulling Taehyun out to the dance floor. They danced together and laughed then the room started to look a little fuzzy and Beomgyu was starting to sway.
He felt Taehyun grab him gently. "Hey you okay?"
He looked at Taehyun and giggled a little. "Are you kidding? I feel AMAZING! WOOOOOO!" He jumped up and down, shaking his hair as he danced some more.
"You're drunk." Taehyun said with a dumbfounded look on his face.
