Yeonjun and Beomgyu met up at a park to talk. He arrived almost an hour earlier than the time they were supposed to meet. He was anxious, not sure of what Beomgyu might say to him. They kissed at Taehyun's party and the feeling was burned onto his lips, an unforgettable feeling that he craved so badly to have. If Beomgyu showed up and wanted nothing to do with him he would crumble.Beomgyu was like a drug and he struggled without him for a while but now that he tasted him, the addiction was back and stronger than ever. If given the opportunity he wouldn't screw it up this time. He prayed to whoever would listen that Beomgyu would give him another chance.
"Hyung?"
Yeonjun looked up and saw Beomgyu. His eyes scanning over his body. He was adorable despite only wearing a simple white t shirt and brown shorts. He put on a few bracelets and wore diamond earrings, but his eyes were drawn to hose pink, glossy lips.
Yeonjun stood up and rubbed his hands together, he was extremely fidgety. "H-Hi."
"Hey." He looked at the bench. "Do you want to sit or walk?"
"Let's–lets sit."
Beomgyu hummed and sat down, Yeonjun quickly joining him.
"Do...do you want to speak first?"
Beomgyu shook his head. "I'll base what I say off of you. Go on."
Yeonjun took a deep breath. "I want to get back together. Everything I said to you at the party, I meant it. I am so so sorry Beomgyu, I thought about you everyday, I couldn't be with anyone else even when I thought for a second that it really was over between us. I couldn't...I couldn't touch anyone else. I want you to do what you feel is right for you not for me but I don't know how else to say it without sounding like I'm begging. That's all I can do now, is beg you to give me another chance. Let me earn your trust again...thats all."
Beomgyu looked away from him and down at his lap.
"Yeonjun I still love you." He said as he looked at him. "But I would be lying if I said I wasn't scared. I don't know how much of you I actually know and how much of you is made up. Did I fall in love with you or some false idea of you that you put in my head?"
Yeonjun shook his head. "No, no it's me. I told you things I never told anyone. I trusted you enough to tell you those things. I'm so sorry about everything..." his voice faded and then he got an idea. "Let's start over. From the beginning I will tell you anything you want to know and if you still can't get past what I did I will go away and I will never bother you again. Beomgyu please just give me another chance? One more chance please?"
Beomgyu thought about it and nodded. "One more chance but if I even feel like you're lying—"
"I won't! I'll never lie to you again!" Yeonjun couldn't get rid of the stupid grin on his face. "Thank you thank you thank you!"
He went to hug him but Beomgyu moved away. "No touching."
"Right, sorry."
"No kissing, no holding hands, and definitely no sex. Not until I feel like I can trust you."
"I can wait forever and then some for you."
Beomgyu looked away from him to hide the smile that crept onto his face.
...
A few days after their conversation Yeonjun texted him and it went through. He was unblocked. A warmth filled him at the small "delivered" under his text message. He sat there with their messages opened and waited for him to text back. Then it hit him.
He was being crazy.
He took a deep breath and turned his phone off.
"He will text when he can." He got up and started to walk out the room when he heard his phone ding. He practically tripped over his own feet as he ran back to his phone. He picked it up and it was him.
My baby:
Yes I'm freeYeonjun quickly texted him back.
Yeonjun:
Is dinner and a movie okay?My baby:
SureYeonjun:
I'll pick you up at 5?My baby:
OkayYeonjun got a bit nervous. He was just going along with it, he didn't ask any questions and the texting was dull. He reminded himself that he messed up and he shouldn't expect Beomgyu to simply forgive him.
When the time came, he started to get ready for their evening out. As he stood in the mirror trying to figure out what to do with his hair, his aunt knocked.
"Yes?"
She walked into the bathroom and looked at him. "Nervous?"
"You have no idea." He rubbed his face. "If he doesn't take me back I really don't know what I would do." He whispered. "I've never felt this way about anyone before. I really just feel so desperate for him it's so pathetic, he's so amazing and I fucked everything up."
"Listen to me," she touched his shoulder and turned him so he would face her. She fixed his hair and shirt for him. "Be confident yet wary. Seeing you like this, so unsure and insecure of yourself is not a good thing to see and I'm sure he notices it too. I'm sure you'll be just fine tonight. Have fun!"
He smiled at her. "Thank you." He checked the time. "I'll be late if I don't go now."
"Be careful!"
"I will!"
He quickly took his car and drove over to Beomgyu's place. It was weird being back after so much time had passed but it was all still the same. He started to walk towards the door but it opened. Beomgyu walked out of his close and closed the door behind him.
"There's no need for you to come to the door."
Yeonjun looked down. "Sorry," he murmured but remembered what his aunt said to him earlier. He swallowed and looked at him from the bottom of the stairs. "I wanted to greet you at the door and I have these." He showed him the bouquet of flowers.
Beomgyu cocked an eyebrow. "You got me flowers?"
"They aren't for you," he watched Beomgyu become a little flustered by what he said. "I would like you to tell me where your grandmother was buried. I want to pay my respects to her and I want you there. Can I do that?"
Beomgyu met him at the bottom of the stairs. He looked at the flowers and then at him, Yeonjun could see the tears gathering in his eyes.
"I...I would really like that a lot Yeonjun."
"Let's go."
