The sun beat down on the soccer field as practice wound to a close. Sweat dripped down Rin's face, his focus still sharp even as his teammates started to wind down. On the sidelines, he noticed Isagi talking to Anri-sensei, their expressions unusually serious. Rin didn't mean to eavesdrop, but the words "Y/N" and "stalker" stopped him in his tracks.
"She didn't want me to make a big deal about it," Isagi was saying, "but I walked her home just in case. That guy was definitely following her."
Rin's jaw clenched. A stalker?
Without a word, Rin strode over, startling Isagi mid-sentence.
"Where is she?" Rin demanded.
Isagi blinked, caught off guard. "What?"
"Y/N. Take me to her."

On the way to Maid Latte, Rin grilled Isagi for details.
"She's working," Isagi explained reluctantly.
Rin frowned. "Working where?"
Isagi hesitated, scratching the back of his head. "Uh... a maid café."
"A what?" Rin's eyes widened in disbelief.
"It's not as bad as it sounds," Isagi said quickly. "She's just trying to help her family. Don't make it weird."
"Does Sae know about this?" Rin asked, his tone sharpening.
Isagi paused. "...No," he lied, not wanting to admit that Sae visited Maid Latte often.
Rin narrowed his eyes but said nothing, his tension palpable as they neared the café.

The soft chime of the bell greeted them as they stepped inside. Rin scanned the room, his gaze settling on you in your maid uniform, serving a table with your usual calm efficiency. His fists clenched, but Isagi placed a hand on his shoulder.
"Don't make a scene," Isagi warned. "We're here to keep an eye on her."
Reluctantly, Rin followed Isagi to a table in the back. His sharp eyes flicked over the customers, his gaze landing on a man who looked far too familiar.
"That's him," Isagi whispered.
Rin's temper flared, but Isagi shook his head. "Not here. We wait."

The café emptied out as the night wore on. When Mari-san asked you to lock up for the night, Rin and Isagi slipped outside, lingering near the entrance.
The sound of shuffling feet and muffled voices snapped Rin's attention to the alley. He froze, hearing your voice—a sharp, defiant tone—followed by the sound of a scuffle.
Without thinking, Rin sprinted toward the noise. He was about to kick in the window when the sound of something breaking stopped him.
Through the glass, Rin and Isagi watched as you shattered a plate over one stalker's head, sending him staggering. The other lunged at you, but you used a swift Aikido move to throw him to the ground, pinning him effortlessly.
Your movements were precise, efficient, and utterly unrelenting. By the time the police arrived, the stalkers were battered and subdued, their sadistic plans in ruins.
After the police left, you changed and locked up the café, your expression unreadable.
"You're unbelievable," Rin snapped as you stepped outside.
You blinked, exhausted. "Hm?"
"You care more about your job than your safety! What were you thinking?"
"I handled it," you said evenly.
"Yeah, well, you're not handling it anymore." Before you could protest, Rin grabbed your wrist and started walking.
"Where are you taking me?"
"My house."
The walk was tense, but you were too tired to argue. Rin's grip was firm but not rough, his jaw set in determination. When you arrived at his house, he led you straight to his room without a word.
"Sit," he ordered, disappearing into the bathroom.
When he returned with a first aid kit, you sighed. "I'm fine, Rin."
"You're not," he said, kneeling in front of you. Gently, he cleaned the small cuts on your hands and arms, his touch surprisingly careful.
"You're reckless," he muttered, his voice low but tinged with frustration. "You can't just put yourself in danger like that. You have people who care about you."
You didn't respond, too drained to argue.
When he finished, he stood and crossed his arms. "You're tired. Sleep."
You raised an eyebrow. "Where?"
"My bed."
"Where will you sleep?"
"Don't worry about it."
You were too exhausted to protest further. Kicking off your shoes, you climbed into his bed, the comfort lulling you almost instantly.
As you drifted off, you barely registered the light press of Rin's lips against your bandaged cheek.
"Idiot," he murmured softly. "Just... be safe."
