The bell rings just as I close my notebook. I'm halfway out the door when the student council president calls me over, his expression one of mild annoyance.
"Y/N, we've got a last-minute assignment for you," he says, adjusting his glasses. "You're to guide two exchange students today. Both are here for Blue Lock's soccer program, and they'll need help adjusting. Since you've studied German, we're assigning them to you."
I blink at him. "That's...unexpected."
"You'll find them waiting in the main office."

When I arrive at the office, two boys are waiting. One is strikingly arrogant in demeanor, leaning casually against the wall with golden-to-blue hair that glints in the sunlight streaming through the windows. His royal blue eyes scan me lazily, as if assessing my worth in a glance.
The other boy, shorter and with softer features, stands politely beside him. His lavender-gray eyes seem almost too kind in comparison to the first boy's sharp gaze.
"You must be my guide," the golden-haired boy says. His voice is smooth but tinged with condescension.
"I am," I reply evenly, meeting his gaze without flinching. "Welcome to Japan. I'm Y/N."
"🇲🇮🇨🇭🇪🇦🇱 🇰🇦🇮🇸🇪🇷," he introduces himself, extending a hand lazily.
The other boy offers a small smile. "🇦🇱🇪🇽🇮🇸 🇳🇪🇸🇸. Nice to meet you."
You nod, gesturing for them to follow. "I'll show you around."
We exchange formalities, but it's clear from the start that Kaiser is going to be difficult.

As we walk through the hallways, Kaiser starts speaking to me in rapid-fire German. I translate for the few students brave enough to approach him, but he doesn't bother acknowledging their gratitude.
"Do you know any Japanese?" I ask him.
"I could learn it," Kaiser says with a smirk. "But why would I bother? You're doing a fine job translating."
I sigh inwardly. This is going to be a long day.
Ness walks beside us silently, observing our exchanges. When I ask if he needs anything, he shakes his head politely. "Thank you, but I'm fine."

The tour is uneventful at first. You guide them through the school halls, pointing out key areas like the cafeteria, gymnasium, and library. Kaiser, however, seems more interested in teasing you than listening.
"You don't talk much, do you?" he remarks, hands in his pockets.
"I talk enough," you reply curtly.
He laughs. "Fair enough. Though I expected someone with your reputation to be a little more... lively."
You glance at him, unimpressed. "Reputation?"
"You're the girl both Itoshi brothers are fighting over, right?" he says casually, like it's the most normal thing in the world.
Alexis looks mortified. "Michael!"
You stop walking, turning to face him with an arched brow. "If you know that much, then you should also know I don't appreciate being talked about like I'm not here."
Kaiser grins, unfazed. "I like you already."

The day progresses with more of the same. Kaiser demands translations, criticizes the school's facilities, and makes sarcastic remarks about the "level" of Japanese soccer players.
"It's a miracle Rin Itoshi managed to come out of this place," Kaiser says at one point, smirking.
"You might want to keep that to yourself," I warn, knowing how protective some students are of Blue Lock's reputation.
Ness steps in smoothly. "Kaiser means no harm. He's just...honest."
I shoot Ness a skeptical look, but he seems genuinely unbothered by Kaiser's behavior.

During lunch, we find a quiet spot outside. Kaiser sprawls out on the grass, clearly unimpressed by the cafeteria food. Ness sits beside him, unpacking a neatly prepared bento box.
"Do you always follow him around like this?" I ask Ness curiously.
Ness smiles faintly, not missing a beat. "Kaiser has a goal, and I support him. It's as simple as that."
"That kind of loyalty must be exhausting," I mutter.
Ness shrugs, his expression unchanging. "Not for me. Kaiser deserves it."
Kaiser, overhearing, glances up with a smirk. "See? Ness gets it. Maybe you should take notes, Y/N."
I roll my eyes, finishing my lunch in silence.

By the end of the day, I'm drained. Kaiser's larger-than-life personality is overwhelming, but Ness's calm presence makes it bearable.
As I prepare to leave them at the dorms, Kaiser surprises me by saying, "You're not as boring as I thought, Y/N. Maybe this won't be a complete waste of my time."
"High praise," I deadpan.
Ness smiles softly. "Thank you for today. It was nice having someone so patient."
I nod, turning to leave. But as I walk away, I can't help but feel that this is only the beginning of a very complicated dynamic.
