By the end of the period, Jayce had worked up the nerve to say something. He could feel his heart racing, but he was determined to push past his usual hesitation. "Hey," he started, leaning in slightly toward Viktor, his voice a little more confident than he felt. "That was a bold move, staring at my notebook like that."

Viktor's lips twitched into a faint smirk, the first hint of amusement Jayce had seen from him. "I was curious,"  Viktor replied, his tone calm and steady. "Your designs... is it hextech?"

Jayce blinked in surprise, taken aback by how easily Viktor had identified the work. Most people dismissed his ideas as nothing more than a pipe dream, a fantastical vision that could never truly be realized. But here was this stranger, someone he'd just met, picking out the core of it with barely a second thought.

"Yeah," Jayce said, his voice rising with excitement. He couldn't hide the enthusiasm building inside him. "You know about it?"

"I've read a bit," Viktor said, his response modest but not dismissive. "It's fascinating... though unstable."

Jayce felt a rush of excitement. Not only had Viktor recognized the potential, but he also seemed to understand the underlying challenge. That was rare, and it lit a spark in Jayce he hadn't felt in a long time. "Yeah, it's a bit... tricky," he admitted, running a hand through his hair. "But that's the fun of it, right? The possibility of what it could become if we could just make it work."

Viktor's gaze didn't waver as he considered Jayce's words. For a moment, Jayce wondered if Viktor would shut him down, dismissing his ideas just like so many others. But instead, Viktor's eyes sharpened with something that could have been interest. "And you want to fix it?" he asked, his voice low but not unkind.

Jayce grinned, unable to contain his excitement any longer. "Yes, do you want to help me fix it?"

Viktor's lips curled slightly, almost unnoticeably, and for a second, Jayce thought he saw something like approval flicker in his eyes. Then Viktor nodded, a decision made. "We'll need resources... and time," he said, his tone cool but agreeing. "But it's worth exploring."

And just like that, a partnership was born. The air between them shifted, the beginning of something new and exciting taking root. It wasn't just a shared interest in Hextech anymore, it was the spark of collaboration, the promise of something greater than either of them could have achieved alone.
