They talked for hours, about everything and nothing. Jayce shared stories of his childhood, his wild ideas for the future, and his dreams of making a difference in the world. Viktor listened, offering thoughts when needed but mostly taking in Jayce's words with a quiet appreciation. Jayce's energy was infectious, and Viktor felt himself growing lighter in his presence. Beneath the laughter, though, Viktor sensed a deeper sincerity to Jayce's character, something he hadn't expected.

Viktor didn't share as much as Jayce did, but when he spoke, his words carried weight. He spoke of his life in Zaun, the challenges of growing up there, and the struggles he faced with his health. He talked about his determination to keep going, even when it felt like everything was working against him. Jayce, ever the attentive listener, didn't interrupt, simply letting Viktor speak. Jayce chuckled and leaned closer, pressing a soft kiss to Viktor's temple. "Too late," he murmured.

The warmth of his body, the steady beat of his heart beneath Viktor's ear, were grounding in a way Viktor hadn't expected. Soon, Viktor's breathing evened out, and he drifted off to sleep, his body relaxed in Jayce's embrace.

Jayce stayed awake a while longer, tracing patterns along Viktor's arm, running his hands through Viktors soft hair. He watched Viktor's breathing, the way his chest rose and fell, and couldn't help but smile. For the first time in a long time, everything felt right.

"You're incredible, you know that?" he whispered, even though Viktor was asleep.

And in that moment, Jayce smiled because he felt like everything had finally fallen into place.
