“Don’t rush! I never said I wouldn’t give it to you,” Ren Qingqiu said with a smile. “I just wanted to ask, don’t you have anything to say to me?”
Bai Yuxi took a deep breath, suppressing her irritation as she stared at Ren Qingqiu.
“What do I need to say?”
Ren Qingqiu, unfazed by Bai Yuxi’s angry expression, smiled casually.
“I see you’re quite annoyed with me. What’s your opinion of me now? Has it changed at all?”
Bai Yuxi glanced up at Ren Qingqiu’s face.
The mole under Ren Qingqiu’s left eye was still quite distracting, increasingly irritating her with each glance.
Yet, Ren Qingqiu’s question made Bai Yuxi contemplate her character more deeply.
Despite the many personality, attitude, and style issues with this person, her demonstrated skills were indeed impressive enough to warrant her being considered a candidate.
Bai Yuxi disliked Ren Qingqiu’s attitude but couldn’t deny her abilities.
“Your shooting skills are quite good.”
She didn’t rush to reclaim the gun, instead crossing her arms and scrutinizing Ren Qingqiu.
“Where did you train?”
“Huh? Are you curious about me?”
Ren Qingqiu half-squinted, resting one hand on the table and flashing a proud smile.
Bai Yuxi chose not to respond, simply continuing to observe her.
Ren Qingqiu held her gaze and, after a moment of silence, leaned closer to Bai Yuxi’s ear as if to whisper an answer.
Perhaps due to their brief interactions over the few days, Bai Yuxi had developed a certain resilience toward Ren Qingqiu’s carefree and undisciplined nature. Thus, when Ren Qingqiu leaned in closer, her scent filled Bai Yuxi’s nostrils, and she didn’t immediately pull away.
Noticing Bai Yuxi’s lack of movement, Ren Qingqiu lowered her gaze slightly.
—Kind of obedient.
She gazed at Bai Yuxi’s elegantly shaped ear and suddenly imagined taking a bite out of it like she had done the other day…
If only she could gently lick the tip of that ear too.
Ren Qingqiu took a deep breath as she contemplated.
After not hearing a response from Ren Qingqiu for a while, Bai Yuxi frowned impatiently.
— She’s going to get angry again.
Seeing the look on her face, Ren Qingqiu finally restrained herself and lightly licked her lips, saying, “I won’t tell you.”
