Noah Caldwell was polite. "I suddenly remembered I didn't ask you, when Addie left this morning, did she tell you where she was going? I can't reach her by phone, and I'm worried I'll miss her if I go to the company."
Ethan didn't answer. Instead, he gripped the chin of the woman in his arms.
Her face was flushed, having just been aroused, and because of her nervousness, her visible skin was pink.
Her watery eyes were clear as a lake, reflecting his image.
Ethan deliberately kept Noah Caldwell waiting.
He lowered his head and nibbled at Addison's lips.
After a long moment, he finally answered, "Didn't ask!"
Noah was curious. "Are you not feeling well? Your voice sounds like you have a cold."
Hearing this, Ethan smiled wickedly.
Addison knew him too well. When he bared his fangs, it was never a good thing.
Sure enough, Ethan deliberately lowered his voice, saying, "I am a little uncomfortable. Seems like I'm in heat."
"What?"
"I have a fever. Do you want to come in and check on me?"
Addison tensed, tightening her core.
She was both angry and annoyed, biting his shoulder hard.
If they were going to die, they'd die together!
Biting hurt. Ethan hissed, but he didn't curb his malicious amusement.
Noah heard the sound, and genuinely concerned, he turned the doorknob.
Ethan reached out and held it shut. "It's fine, go back. I'll just lie down for a while."
"Are you sure you're okay?"
"I'm fine, I was just faking it."
"..."
Noah finally left.
After it was quiet outside, Ethan looked down at the woman in his arms. "To the bed, or do you want to go out?"
Addison wasn't like him, driven by lust.
"Didn't you say you don't touch what your friend likes?"
"There can be exceptions."
"..."
Addison knew he was unreliable.
She wouldn't sleep with him. Regardless of the baby, she had to refuse today.
She pushed him away decisively.
In that area, Ethan never forced her. Even if he still desired her, he had to suppress the fire.
But he was curious. "Why are you so afraid of Noah Caldwell finding out? I saved you, you're attracted to me in the moment, isn't that normal?"
Addison's eyelids twitched. "Is your circle so casual?"
Ethan: "Urban men and women, fast-food era. It's not normal to not be casual."
Addison looked at his handsome, upright appearance.
Yes.
It was true.
With such superior genes, if he didn't play around in this world of pleasure, he'd regret it even in death, hammering his coffin to pieces.
"Then I might be an anomaly." Addison lowered her eyes, adjusting her clothes. "I don't think our past is something to be proud of."
They'd once said, to put it nicely, that they were getting what they needed from each other.
