A World Of Blocks

"Looks like we’re in luck," Stewie said, tapping a remote in his hand. "The Farlands exist in this world. That’s where the next crystal should be."

"How far is it?" Peter asked, looking concerned.

Stewie frowned. "Very far."

Peter groaned, rubbing his stomach. "I've should've figured, it's in the name."

"Do we even know which way to go?" Inez asked, glancing around the endless trees.

Stewie checked the remote. "The Farlands are in this world’s outer edges, so any direction will get us there… eventually."

"Well then, no time like the present!" Martin said with a grin. "Next stop—The Farlands!"

With a renewed sense of purpose, the group set off, unaware of the dangers that awaited them in the vast, blocky world ahead. But whatever came their way, they would face it together.

As the group ventured deeper into the forest, they couldn’t help but be captivated by the strange, blocky world around them. Towering, pixelated trees stretched toward the sky, their square-shaped leaves forming a dense canopy above.

Vibrant, cube-like flowers dotted the landscape, and in the far distance, tall, jagged mountains loomed, their sharp edges perfectly geometric. The crunch of blocky grass beneath their feet only added to the surreal atmosphere.

For a moment, Matt found himself easing up. The peaceful scenery, as bizarre as it was, allowed him to set aside his guilt—even if only briefly.

That moment of calm didn’t last long.

“Hey, guys! Come look at this!” Peter’s voice suddenly cut through the quiet, laced with a mix of shock and curiosity.

The group turned to where he was pointing—and froze.

Floating eerily in mid-air was an oak tree, a block of it's trunk completely missing. The leaves rustled gently as if nothing was wrong, but the way it hovered defied all logic.

“What the…?” Matt murmured, an uneasy feeling creeping back in.

Drawn by curiosity, they cautiously approached the bizarre sight. Peter stepped forward and slowly reached out to the empty space where the trunk should have been.

To his shock, his hand passed right through the void as if the tree wasn’t even real. A strange tingling sensation ran up his arm, making him yank it back with a shudder.

“Whoa!” Martin exclaimed. “That’s… weird.”

“W-what the hell?” Peter stammered, staring at his hand as if expecting it to vanish. “Is this tree haunted or something?”

"I don't think so," Jackie said, eyeing the tree warily. "But it's definitely not normal."

“How is this even possible?” Matt asked, brows furrowed.

“I’m not sure,” Digit said, his mechanical wings twitching slightly. “But something about this… doesn’t feel right. At all.”

Shaking off the unsettling experience, the group pressed on. As they continued their journey, they encountered more of the world’s strange quirks.

A family of pixelated rabbits hopped by, their movements almost too perfect—like they were running on a programmed loop.

The sun began to set, bathing the treetops in warm shades of gold and amber. As the sky darkened, the realization set in—they needed to set up camp before nightfall.

"Alright, team," Martin said, clapping his hands together. "Looks like we’re spending the night here!"

"Ugh, great," Peter groaned. "As if this place wasn’t creepy enough already."
