CH 24. Knot Of Problems.

A knock interrupted my thoughts it was like whoever was knocking knew I was in deep thought. "How convenient" I said as I got up and walked to open the door and saw Talia with a light smile on her face standing there, "oh hey, I'm surprised you're up this early?" I said to her, hell what do I know I haven't been here long, she chuckled, "it's not that earlier, and besides I'm always up early" she said I nodded, "so, what brings you to this side of the theater" I joked, she laughed, "I just wanted to say we are about to go over a plan to stop the Divinity in a few minutes if you want to met us down stairs" she said I was a little shocked that the others were up but I nodded "I'll be there" I said she nodded "nice full audience" she exclaimed and started to make her way back down the hall.

I close the door after she left and decided to change my shirt, my other shirt that was on the floor was a bit dusty now but I can't complain it's not like I have that many clothes or I'm trying to empress anyone, I grabbed my watch once more and noticed it wasn't moving, the battery finally died, "well at this point I'm surprised it lasted this long " I said chuckling to myself.

~Freya's POV~

I tossed Talia a marker as she walked up to the table, catching it with ease and smiling. "Yazmin and Blake should be down in a second" she said Martin nodded. I sighed and looked to Dontae and Daija, "y'all two seem rather happy, any particular reason?" I asked, "are they not allowed some kind of happiness love?" Talia asked I shrugged, "depends on where it comes from" I said eyeing them both.

"Don't overthink it, I'm surprised no one else heard the amount of yelling they were doing last night, then again I am their across the hall neighbor" Yazmin said as she walked up to the table looking a bit more tired than usual, Blake soon followed after her. I could see both Dontae and Daija blush, I instantly felt bad for questioning them and also thought if anyone ever heard me and Talia before.

"Guys, let's not make it awkward, it's not that weird" Talia said Dontae mouthed the words thank you and smiled. "Well now that we are all here, I was thinking about our situation and I think a head on attack like Dontae proposed is smart" she said I looked at her confused, "okay you know I'm with you on pretty much everything but are you sure?" I asked her, "we can do what he suggested we test the waters and if it's too much to handle we'll back off" she said.

"And if it's not?" Martin asked her, "then we do what we have to, take out their heads, listening to everything Dontae and Daija have said and seeing their leader in person I feel like their cult is only a cult because of him" she said, "in other words we kill him the cult dies with him?" Yazmin said Talia nodded, "are you okay with that Tali?" I asked she shrugged, "yeah, I mean if it means y'all will be safe afterwards that totally" she said sounding unsure of her own words, I know she still isn't at one hundred percent mentally.

"Okay but then what about Eliana, you can't expect her to just come back to us, as if we'd ever let her" I said to Talia.

"Martin what do you think?" Talia asked, "I'm not sure, on one hand there's a part of me that wants to help her still no matter what and on the other there's a part that doesn't want to, like she's chosen her path" he said in a monotone voice. "Let's just restrain her or something, we can't just instantly jump to killing her if she doesn't accepts us" Yazmin said, I shook my head, "I don't think taking her prisoner would be good either it'll be a wasted effort" I said to her, Talia looked puzzled.

"I guess we'll worry about her when we get there, so what our best entrance?" Talia asked Dontae, "I'm not sure we escaped out the back but if they caught on the probably put guards there, and both sides are guard pretty well" Dontae said, "not to mention it's a tight space from wall to building we could get trapped" Daija said I rubbed my head, "that also means it'll be hard to get the right position of attack" I said they both nodded, "well I think I got our answer people, we hit them fucking head on, those pricks won't even know what hit them" Blake said loudly.

No one said anything at first just gave each other glances of reassurance, "is that the best choice?" I asked Dontae, "it would give us even more of an element of surprise" he said, "before we set this in stone any questions?" Talia asked, "not really just I've been questioning whether or not if I fit in but honestly I just don't want to die for nothing so if we are doing this I'm going in and coming out" Blake said Yazmin patted his shoulder, "of course all of us our" she said I nodded.

"It's barely noon but we have no time to waste everyone get ready we finish this today" Talia said with determination written all over her face, she then ushered me and Martin to follow her. We walked over to the arcade area away from the others, "what's up love?" I asked, "okay one, Martin are you going to okay you know with your grandpa and all?" Talia asked, he shrugged, "I'm not sure but I'll worry about it when it comes down to that, what's two?" He asked her.

"And two" Talia said lightly chuckling, "before all this starts I'm quickly going out" she said I felt a hint of rage hit my blood, "are you crazy?!" I said to her, "look I know that sounds bad but it's just to scout really quick and get any zombies from the area away" she said I shook my head, "I'll go with you then we can both fly" I said she out my hand on my shoulder, "it's better if only one of us go to keep a low profile and if the cult happens to see me they won't know what we have planned" she said I sighed and looked at Martin who had a blank expression.

"Don't look at me, I don't like it either but nothing I do will stop her" he said I groaned and lightly hit Talia's shoulder "fuck Tali, just be careful and quick you got a hour okay?" I said to her she lightly smiled and nodded, "of course I'll some how be able to tell the time" she said sarcastically and chuckling I shook my head and hugged her, "just hurry back" I said to her I felt her nod and kiss my forehead, "you won't even notice that I left just be ready when I get back" she said back I hope that's the case.

~Roman's POV~

I looked out in pride at the courtyard seeing everyone bring the supplies they found back. "That leaves us with six more groups out there, that's if they are all still alive" Eduardo said I nodded, "don't let these events get to you and underestimate those who are still out there I'm sure in due time they'll all be back" I said to him he just grunted, I saw Eliana helping a few other members stack boxes and noticed some of them were admiring her scars, "so you think she's cut out for her position?" Eduardo asked me, "are you questioning me?" I said to him, "no of course not High Presence but for her to change over night isn't ideal I'm just making sure your trust isn't, misplaced" he said I nodded and patted his back.

"I'm sure all will be fine" I said and paused and thought about his words and then her old group. I hoped they enjoyed my message, people with such insignificance and yet they are causing me so much trouble. "Admiral, if I take a moment outside will you watch over their work? Since Janet is in her meditation state I don't want to disturb her" I asked him knowing his answer, I could most certainly count on his trust and loyalty, "of course High Presence, it would be an honor, but I will ask, why not of all times?" He asked I shrugged.

"There's just something in the back of mind that's been itching at me, like I left something behind when I fought that girl the first time" I explained to him and he nodded, "well hopefully you find what it is you're looking for High Presence" he said as I stepped off the stage and began my walk to the main gate.

I was stopped by Catarina, "heading out right now High Presence?" She asked I nodded, "do you need anything from me?" She said I sighed a bit, "I appreciate the offer but no, just watch over the others and send a signal if something happens" I said to her she rolled her eyes and nodded. I was about to continue walking but was met with Eliana staring at me, I could tell she hadn't slept much from the rings that surrounded her eyes, I could also see she hadn't washed off the blood from the multiple people she had rightfully ended throughout the night.

"So you're just leaving?" She asked I shook my head. "No I have some busy out there I won't be long" I said to her noticing she looked worried, "you're doing fine, just keep busy and everything else will flow together" I said to her and she nodded and walked off back to where she was earlier. I made my way to the gate and waited for it to open up.

"I'm not heading far watch for any suspicious activity and signal if it becomes serious" I said to the two guards at the gate, "of course High Presence, may the divinity's strength be with you" they said in tandem. I soaked up their words and began to make my way away from the stronghold and down into the city chasing a feeling that I had no explanation for.
