Andrea made her way to the balcony, which offered a sweeping view of the city below. The city lights sparkled like a sea of stars, but her attention was drawn to something far more pressing.
She looked down and spotted an open-roof car, much larger than the one she had previously seen with Haechan. The car's sleek, black exterior glinted under the streetlights. Inside, she saw Chenle, Haechan, Jaemin, Renjun, Jisung, and Victoria sitting tensely. Outside the car, Jeno and Mark stood next to the imposing man she recognized from earlier. The man exuded an air of authority and menace, making her heart race with worry.
She was able to notice the change in their appearances now. Mark and Jisung, who had previously worn light brown hair, now had sleek black hair. Mark's hair was cut shorter, giving him a sharper, edgier look.
Renjun's hair had been cut and straightened, dyed from black to a rich brown with bold white streaks that added a touch of flair.
Haechan's hair also featured white streaks, giving him a unique and eye-catching style.
Jeno's hair had undergone a dramatic change, going from black to a stark white, making him stand out even more.
Jaemin's hair was now a dark shade of copper, a significant departure from his previous blonde locks. The new color contrasted heavily with his fair complexion, giving him a more intense and brooding appearance.
Chenle, who had been a blonde, now sported curly black hair that framed his face perfectly, sharpening his features.
Victoria's transformation was perhaps the most dramatic. Her brown hair was straightened and dyed a vibrant hot pink, making her look bold and fearless.
They all had completely different wardrobes as well giving them a colorful yet chic new look. Andrea wondered if they would change her appearance as well.
As Andrea took in their transformed appearances, she couldn't help but wonder if they would change her appearance as well. The idea both intrigued and unnerved her, knowing that every detail mattered in their plan to infiltrate and gather information.
Andrea's eyes narrowed as she took in the scene. She could tell from their body language that they were preparing to search for her.
"Don't bother. I'm on my way," Andrea said, loud enough for everyone to hear her. The man and her friends looked up at her as she turned around to quickly go to the elevator and make her way to the first floor. She walked to the front door, taking a deep breath before pushing it open and walking towards them. Recalling Johnny's advice to act like them, she walked up closer to the man and smiled at him. "I wanna join," she said confidently. Andrea stayed calm so the man wouldn't suspect she was joking.
The man looked at her, clearly confused. She took in his features—he looked no older than 29, with half-black, half-white slicked-back hair. He had thick eyebrows, a sharp jawline, soft lips, and brown eyes that seemed to pierce through hers. She figured he must have known her brother personally. "Jit, I said I wanna go with y'all. Are you gonna take me or should I just go back inside?" Andrea said, crossing her arms and giving him an annoyed expression.
"Get her," the man signaled to Jeno and Mark, who immediately started walking towards her.
Andrea giggled, "Trust, you don't even have to." She walked to the car, flashing a big smile at the man as she passed him, and sat next to Jaemin.
The man walked towards the car and got in the driver's seat. "You know what, I like this one," he said, turning his head back to look at Andrea.
"Thank you, thank you, I try," she joked, making him chuckle. Andrea turned to face Victoria, who gave her a knowing smile. Victoria was sprawled out in the backseat, taking up the entire space. She had her headphones in, clearly listening to music. Andrea looked around in awe at the sight of her friends.
"Ay mystery man, can I have a glow up too?" Andrea asked, hoping for a reply.
The man hesitated before responding, "You will have your appearance changed, but I am not allowed to give you much information. I'm sorry."
Andrea hummed in understanding.
She figured that maybe this entire plan would not be so bad after all. She took in the sight of her friends around her, noting their interactions. Chenle and Renjun were bickering playfully. Mark and Jeno were deep in conversation about sports, their voices carrying an enthusiastic tone as they discussed recent games and upcoming matches. Jisung and Haechan were laughing together.
Amidst the lively atmosphere, Jaemin sat quietly with an unreadable expression on his face. Andrea leaned her head on his arm, seeking comfort in his presence. The boy turned his head to the left to look down at her, his features softening as he smiled at her. His eyes, which often held a playful glint, now showed a depth of emotion that spoke volumes without words.
He glanced at her outfit—a black tank top, grey denim jorts, a black and silver belt, and plain black sneakers. He figured she might be cold, so he gently guided her to lay down on his lap while he played with her hair, trying to provide some warmth. Andrea felt a sense of safety and reassurance in his touch, her worries momentarily easing as she closed her eyes, falling into a deep sleep as they reached their destination.
