My Saviour

(Angelas POV)

I woke up to my alarm blaring my mum opened my door "ANGELA MARIE LOPEZ IF YOU DONT GET YOYR ASS UP NOW I SWEAR CHILD"my mum said as she stormed in I sat up quickly "I'm up let me get dressed and ready"I told her "okay good next time get up quicker breakfast is nearly done"she said I nodded "thanks mum"I said I got ready for school then went out to the kitchen my mum passed me a plate of pancakes I took 2 and ate them then we got in the car and drove to school.

(Lucy's POV)

Training ran late this morning and I had 30 minutes to spare I took a 10 minute shower and did a quick mess bun with a slick back I pulled on my new fresh clothes and ran to school then I did lessons Angela waited for me at break and took me back to her friends "here try some"Angela suggested I pushed it away "I can't I'm still strictly on a diet I can't go one calorie over because otherwise it'll ruin my whole competition"I told her.

"What's on your lock screen?"Angela asked "it's rai rai"I said smiling "so he's your horse"Angela asked smiling "I've always wanted to ride a horse"Angela said "he's not exactly my horse yet we found out he was sold illegally to my mum and the only way the owner will let me keep him is if I can win tryouts so I'm dieting and training every morning and afternoon"I told them "every morning what time do you get up?"angela asked "I get up at 4am leave the house at 4:30am and train until 6am then I get ready for school then after school I train until like 7 or 8 pm"I told them.

"Do you have to use a whip on him?"tim asked "no I'd never dream of whipping any horse let alone raven"I told him "raven?"he asked confused "yes raven is his name the horse his nickname is rai or rai rai"I told them "also to answer that first question again the whips I've locked in a cabinet only I have the key too my mum owns the stables I train at the arena is massive too and there's a few good places to hack too"I said smiling "you should take me there sometime"Angela said then the others said they wanna come too.

"My parents would be there and I'd hate you guys to get in the conflict"I said smiling "I don't mind"Angela said smiling "I'll have to ask my mum I'll say your looking for riding tips I can train you if you want?"I asked her "yes please"she said smiling widely I rang my mum "yes Lucy"my mum asked "I'm busy hurry up"she said "can my friend come to the arena she wants tips on how to ride and she needs training I can help her"I asked "fine but..uhh..uh..t-take the keys and no more than one friend I mean it"my mum said moaning a little during the call.

"Does dad know you're cheating again?"I asked "no and if you tell him I will cut your diet to one apple a month now hang up goodbye"I hung up "stupid mother"I said throwing down my phone "what happened"the others asked "uhh nothing and Angela my mum said I could train you"I told her "come with me after school if you want I can let you watch me first then I'll get you on a horse"I told her.

She nodded excitedly after school I took her back to mine and I leant her my old boots and outfit she changed and we walked to the stables I walked over to the paddock "rai rai"I called out Raven once again came galloping over he neighed "hey boy I did as he nudged me with his head I scratched his nose "you ready boy"I said putting on his head collar "Angela come walk beside me"I told her so she did "I'm scared is that normal?"she asked "yes it's normal believe me I was petrified the first time I got on horse"I told her.

I tacked Raven up and tied his rope in a knot on the stable door "now you stay here boy I'm going to get your mints"I said patting his side I got a fresh pack of mints and gave him too "Angela there's benches up there probably safer if you sit there"I told her she sat on the front row I got on Raven "come on boy go for the big jump"I told him as I cantered towards it he jumped as I leant forward and we cleared the jump I halted him and gave him some mints "good boy"I said I trained him another half an hour then got him untacked and put him in his stable.

"Okay now let's get you a horse to train on they all get lunged but I'd recommend either pixie or Skye as a first timer pixie was my first horse"I told her "pixie then"she said I got her tacked up "okay you see her main your gonna wanna hold a little bit of it with reigns to keep grip"I told her she did "good now put your left foot in the stirrup"I told her she did "good now push up and put you leg over the horse"I told her "good and now your mounted on her"I said smiling "woah"she said freaking out as I moved pixie forward.

"It's okay it's a weird feeling at first hind the saddle if you need to how do the stirrups feel?"I asked "good she said smiling "okay let me lead you to the arena now"I said using the lead rope "okay we're just starting basic with the walking and trotting you don't have to do anything much just hold the reigns or saddle or both"I told her as I walked in a circle with pixie around the arena "okay are you read for trot?"I asked "is she fast?"angela asked nervous.

"No ravens the fastest here especially when he gallops"I told her "alright whilst I do trot your gonna try stand up okay legs need a little bend"I told her "okay 3 2 1 and were trotting I said "woah this is awesome"she said smiling "I know now try stand up"I told her so she did "your doing amazing"I told her started to laugh "okay pull on your reigns one sharp but gently tug to let her know to halt"I told her pixie halted.

"Now that was good Angela"I told her "thank you now I say we relax"Angela said "let's get pixie put away first and I need to see my schedule but if I'm right I have 2 hours left of training on Raven"I said as I put pixie away and untacked her before I tacked Raven up I trained for 1 hour and 45 minutes then he got tired so I dismounted and took him to his stable "goodnight rai rai"I said kissing his nose again I gave him 5 mints then left I went home and got into bed falling asleep.
