My Saviour

(Zoe's POV)
It's 7:12am im fully dressed for work
i went upstairs to check on Lucy she
was still fast asleep so I left her to sleep I made her breakfast and put
it in the fridge then I left for work.

(Angela's POV)
I woke up at 10:16am to see a new message from Lucy i opened it immediately but immediately started panicking when I saw the message start with "Dear Angela, Our time together has been short i have loved every minute of it....".

I skimmed the rest then saw "This is my final goodbye so goodbye Angela I love you"i immediately messaged her spamming her through blurry eyes covered with tears then I rang her she didn't answer 34 rings later still no call I rang Zoe.

"Hey Everything okay I'm at work?"Zoe asked "N-No..Zoe you need to go home Lucy she messaged me a goodbye message I think she's d-dead"I told her "I checked on her this morning she was asleep"Zoe said "Zoe please she wouldn't just message me a goodbye message and do nothing"I told her.

"Okay I'm on my way home"Zoe said I heard a car start "Can I go yours too I can get their quicker"I told her "Okat but don't go in Lucy's room okay stay in the living room until I get their the spare key is under the fake plant pot"Zoe told me.

I hung up and ran to Zoe's House i sat in the living room still sobbing Zoe arrived and told me to stay downstairs she ran upstairs to Lucy's room I sat in the hallway.

(Zoe's POV)
I entered Lucy's room and shut her door I shook her but she didn't wake up I checked her pulse I could barely feel it and she wasn't breathing well i dialled 911 and explained the situation they arrived a few minutes later.

They quickly got to work on helping her i went down and explained briefly what was happening to Angela she hugged me and I comforted her she was scared I could tell I felt really bad for her I took her to the kitchen and made hot chocolates we both drank them.

Then i went upstairs to see Lucy c waking up she immediately started freaking out when she opened her eyes "Stay Still"The paramedic said trying to place in another IV she quickly started freaking out more.

"LEAVE ME ALONE!!"she shouted
kicking at the paramedics they ignored her "Get off me!"she shouted getting more aggressive towards the paramedics
"Can we get a minute?"I asked they nodded leaving the room Lucy quickly pulled her hoodie sleeves down more "M-Mum"she said her voice croaky and harsh i walked over to her she started crying "I'm sorry"she said struggling to speak.

"I know you are darling but you need to let the paramedics help you"I told her
"I don't want strangers to see my arms"
she told me "I know you don't baby but they need to help reverse the overdose"I told her.

"No i don't want anyone to touch me"she yelled at me "Look umm what about Bailey she could help"I suggested "Fine she can help but no one else is touching me"Lucy said agreeing I rang Bailey and she came with her ambulance sending all the other paramedics away.

(Lucy's POV)
I feel so deeply embarrassed right now the only thing i thought i could do I didn't I failed and now I'm stuck here with the consequences and guilt.

Bailey came into my room "Hi Lucy can I come in?"she asked I nodded she came over to me "I can see the other paramedics did IVs on your hands can I do one on your arm to help reverse the effects quicker"Bailey said.

"No i don't want anyone seeing my arms"I told her "alright well can you tell me how many tablets u took and how many different types there are?"she told me "the rubbish is under my bed what ever is missing is what I took"I told her.

"okay and how long ago did u take them?"she asked "at 12ish"I told her "okay lemme just count how many you took to see how much Panadol,Liquiprin,
Ibuprofen, and Percocet you took"Bailey said gathering the rubbish.

"Okay you took 62 tablets in total I'm gonna have to get someone to bring in some activated charcoal for you"Bailey told me "why what does that do?"I asked "it'll make you throw up the tablets and pills okay"Bailey told me.

"No way I'm not throwing up you can't make me"I told her "Lucy I know your scared but you have to do it okay"Bailey told me "No I'm not listening to you I don't understand why you're trying to save me u can quite clearly see I want to die so just let me go"I told her.

"Lucy it's my job as a medical professional to make sure that doesn't happen so drink the charcoal"she said giving me a tall glass of grey stuff "eww I'm not drinking this"I told her.

"Lucy drink"Bailey told me "No I'm not drinking that"I told her "LUCY NOW!"She snapped at me i covered my ears "I'm sorry please don't yell"I said scared "I won't yell if you just drink"Bailey told me.

I took sips of the charcoal then felt a bad urge to throw up I held my hands over my mouth Bailey put a big bowl under me "Look Lucy ik your scared but you need to throw up okay"She told me.

I uncovered my mouth and began throwing up in the bowl I started crying and shut my eyes 20 minutes later I started heaving and wiped my mouth
"B-Bailey i can't do that again"I said my voice shaky as I started crying again.

"I'm sorry honey but it's the only way to bring up the yk stuff"she said "is there another way?"I asked "no i can give you Nacetylcysteine to reverse the effects but you'll still being throwing up just not as much as you just did"Bailey told me.

"Okay you can do that"I told her "alright can you take off your hoodie and top then put on this gown"Bailey said handing me a gown "okay fine but can you put something over my arms so no one else can see my scars?"I asked her.

"Of course I can"she told me so i got into the gown and Bailey wiped my arm and got out a needle i pulled my arm back "needles really scare me can you give me a minute?"I asked her.
