(Lucy's POV)

I've been missing days of school because I've been training so much i only train Raven 4 hours a day but i practice on the other horses too so I can get everything perfect it's only 1 week until tryouts and I need to win so I can keep Raven I just cleared another jump with him "good boy rai rai"I said smiling I gave him a mint and halted him before dismounting him and taking him to his stable I just closed his door when I felt a presence behind me.

I turned around to see Angela there she came over to me "where have you been for the last 3 weeks?"she asked "training i just need to make sure I win so I can get Raven"I told her "How is training going?"she asked "it's going okay I've been using all the horses so I don't tire Raven out but i still need to improve on my jumps and the puissance wall because I can get extra marks for it but tryouts is 1 week away and I don't know how I'm going to win I mean there's gonna be people older then me there it's for under 18's"I told her.

Angela hugged me "it's okay quit stressing why don't you hire a trainer?"angela suggested "no I can't my parents would flip out"I told Angela "LUCY CHEN HURRY UP YOU HAVE MORE TRAINING"my mum shouted "I gotta go"I said getting out Firefly
"LUCY CHEN IF YOU TAKE ONE MORE SECOND GETTING THAT HORSE I WILL CUT YOUR DIET TO ONE APPLE A WEEK HURRY UP!"My mum shouted I quickly tacked up Firefly.

Then led him to the arena Angela was watching me from the side my parents didn't notice her I did a lap of trot and cleared 6 jumps "head up Lucy and you need a damn whip so the horse will go quicker"my mum said I halted Firefly "I already told you I'll never ever use a whip on a horse"I told her "see your forgetting something Lucy I own these horses and I could sell them if I wanted too so if you don't start training properly I will sell Raven and you'll never see him again"my mum told me "This was grandmas Stables and she still pays for it from an inheritance"I told her.

"Cut the attitude and train now"she said sternly I nodded and continued training my mum put Firefly away and I walked back home Angela was with me
"I can't believe your mum is so mean"Angela said "she just wants me to win tryouts"I told her "I better get home but I'll see you tomorrow okay bye Lucy"she said I waved at her and kept walking I finally arrived home and got undressed i took a shower and then got in pyjamas before falling asleep in my bed.

The next morning I ate an apple and got dressed I did some more training and managed to clear the puissance wall 6 times at its highest point I was so proud of my rai rai I gave him minus and a hug then I took him to his stable and went home I washed all of my clothes for the tryouts and ironed them then I got out my luck hat and then gloves I put everything on my desk ready for next monday.

1 WEEK LATER

Today is tryouts I'm dressed in my outfit and I'm getting Raven ready he looks nice and clean I got him tacked up and ready "Can we have Lucy Chen to Arena 1 please"the speaker called out I walked into the arena leading Raven I patted his side and told him some positive words then I gave him some mints I set up the puissance wall I mounted him and started trotting i cantered up to the jump and cleared it then i
cleared the other 4 the puissance wall was last I cantered and gave Raven some lenience so he could clear it and we did clear it I took Raven out of the arena and to the horse box a man came over in a suit.

"Lucy Chen?"he asked "yes that's me"I said confused "we just found out you're 15 and realised that your ready for your inheritance"he told me "inheritance?"I asked "yes the £850,000 your grandmother left to you"he told me "what?"I asked "you must be mistaken my mum said my nana left it to her"I said "well she is lying to you Lucy here's your paperwork and check"
he said I immediately read the paperwork and check he was telling the truth "mum how could you lie to me"I said in disbelief.

"You are going to give me all of my inheritance back and I'm going"I told her "you can't leave"she said "why not it's my car and horse box because it's my inheritance"I told her I got Raven in the horsebox I headed over to the results and saw I was 2nd I lost Raven I ran back to the horsebox and hugged him "I'm so sorry rai rai we lost and now your going away"I said as I patted his side the owner of Raven came
over "take him to the horsebox"she said.

"Wait Meredith please how much do you want for him?"I asked "he's worth more then you can afford I will be take my horse now the guy with her pushed me out the way I locked the horse box and drove back to the stables I opened ravens stable and sat on the ground crying I heard someone come in I looked up it was Angela "you okay?"she asked "no I lost him I came second I lost raven and I can't get him back"I said crying more Angela came and sat with me she pulled me into her chest and started rubbing my back.

"Thank you"I whispered as I hugged her tighter "and I found out it's not my mum's inheritance it's mine she lied"I said "that's good right?"Angela said smiling I nodded "yes it's good because I have more money now"I told her "I hope you feel better soon I'll stay here as-long as you need"Angela said I lay back on her chest "thank you for being here"I said dozing off.
