Elemental Outbreak: Divinity

CH 27. War.

"Roman I can't I barely wanted to do it to the others" I explained he chuckled. "You still did it, you know that feeling, embrace it, there's no need to be afraid my Divine Knight" he said and pushed the woman closer to me. "You will never unlock that true potential that I see" he said pushing her even closer at this point I could even smell her, she smelled horrible.

"Roman I'm sure I can do this a different way" I said he shook his head "you know that's not true" he said. Fuck why am I here, why did I do that to those other people. I can't become this, I came here to be better than them not become them. No I'm not this isn't me I can be better. "Yeah I know" I said as I closed my eyes and swung my arm up with a crystal blade.

I heard the sound of a liquid dropping to the floor and more heavy squishy things dropped. I slowly opened my eyes and saw I chopped the girl in half. I wasn't aiming for her. "There see, a bit uncentered but good enough, I know you feel better than before Eliana don't deny this path" he exclaimed I couldn't deny it. I did feel better, physically. Mentally this was the worst feeling.

Once more he brought another person up, "this time use your wind" he said I grudgingly pulled my arm back and forced it into the persons skull using my wind to give my punch a great effect. "I just got to push through and when I get the chance strike" I told myself one body after another.

I looked at the pile of about ten people on the floor. "I think that's more than enough you have proven yourself well Eliana" he said ushering me to lead the way out the room. "That was too many people. Why didn't I attack him? I could've used the bodies to distract him. Why did I just let this happen?" I thought to myself, I saw Roman form a small metal wall and pushed the bodies to where the other people were.

"Why not get rid of them?" I shakily asked. "There's some undead in there they'll eat them, conveniently these ones don't have abilities and if you take their ability to see, hear, and smell they ignore the live ones" he explained and we both started to head out the room I looked back one more at the darkened room and then at my hands once again, now they were drenched in blood and guts.

~current time~

"That was different I didn't know them" I said, "interesting so you measure someone's life based on how much you know them? Not as equals?" He said I shook my head. "I'm realistic I don't have to be equal to everyone" I explained he looked at me with an uncertain look in his eye like if he was examining me.

"Tell me Eliana you said if it was do or die you'd kill your own people but I'm having trouble seeing that? If they were put in front of you and you were guaranteed that you'd live would you kill them?" He asked, I shook my head. "No Roman that would be absolute murder and not self defense" I said to him he scoffed.

"Yet last night that wasn't the case and they weren't a threat" he explained, "I um, I'm sorry High Presence" I said he looked confused. "Why apologize you did nothing wrong, I'm simply pointing out your flaw and I believe we need to fix that flaw" he said, please not again.

Roman circled me a bit and then walked over to the window and looked outside. "I have an easy solution, me and you. We go to the theater and put an end to this right now" he said I snapped my head at his direction.

"We can't do that we'd be outnumbered, we'd be beaten" I said to him, no we can't. I can't let him leave this place. "Oh trust me when I say we're more than capable of doing it on our own" he said I started to rumble through my mind for a way to convince him to back off.

"Roman if they said they'd leave then like I said Talia wouldn't lie they probably left already, we've been trying to survive this whole time why would she do anything to get her or the others killed?" I said to him he looked puzzled and almost seemed to by it.
