"That be great," Osamu smiles as he slowly snakes a hand around you waist. Butterflies are released from the cage in your stomach immediately and you try your best to hide your giddiness. "Okay, sent!" Ema says happily before letting out a sigh. "Y'know, I told you I've been waiting for this since I found out Osamu liked you."
"You knew too?" You question the girl in surprise.
She nods with confidence, "Yep, ever since I stopped Osamu in the hall one day and asked–he turned red so fast. It was obvious," she laughs. You can't help but laugh with the girl as she retells the interaction." You shouldn't laugh, you were obvious too," she snaps which catches you by surprise. "How? I didn't even know!"
Ema taps away on her phone again before handing it to you. On the screen was a photo album entitled; LOL. There were about ten pictures in it and each was taken from far away or at an angle that showed Ema was attempting to sneak these photos. "Ema, what is this?" Osamu questions as he peers at the album from over your shoulder.
"Every time I caught Miss Y/n staring at you like you're the only man on earth," she says proudly. It was true, in each photo you're staring at Osamu with adoring eyes. In some your mouth is even slightly parted as if you're truly enamored by whatever he was saying to you.
This time, Osamu laughs cockily. "Oh, I need these photos immediately,"
"In conclusion, you're both oblivious, and I have to go home now. Bye!" The girl dismisses herself without another word. "I can't believe she knew, she should've done something!" you jokingly claim. Osamu laughs at this before kissing your temple. "It happened the way it needed to, think of it that way."
You suppose he was right. You're not quite sure you would change anything about the way things played out. Except for maybe the part where you were "in love" with Atsumu. That part could've been tweaked just a bit.
By the time dinner rolled around you received a text from Ema with an attached screenshot. The message read; She said she could meet you at Onigiri Miya tomorrow after school!
You told Osamu it was perfect, and you were both excited. He said he wanted to frame the photo and put it up in the restaurant, which you laughed at. He did not; he wasn't joking. Still, when the next day rolled around, you were filled with a mixture of emotions, awaiting the teenager's arrival with Osamu.
"Is she here yet?" He questions as he returns from wiping down a table. You shake your head as you glare at the front door. "Nope, haven't seen her." Then a girl got closer to the glass doors of the restaurant, "Wait," you pause as you rise from the stool you sat on. "Is that her?" Osamu questions as he follows your line of sight.
The girl enters the restaurant and she seems to be looking around for somebody. Then she spots the both of you staring her down. Your first instinct is to look away quickly. Osamu and you pretend to be in conversation before she approaches you.
"You're Miss L/n and Mr. Miya, right?" she asks as you both turn back to the girl. You both nod casually. "Please call me Y/n," you smile, offering her a hand to shake. Keiko," she returns the gesture and shakes your hand. "And please call me Osamu," Osamu adds, offering his hand to shake as well.
You both invite Keiko to sit down as you have a brief chat with her. "At that moment we didn't really think much of the picture when you took it," you explain "But now, a month later that picture is..." You seem to struggle to find the right words to describe what you're saying.
"In a way, it's kind of meaningful to us now–since we weren't even in a relationship in that photo," Osamu cuts in for you. The girl's eyes widened at the fact "You weren't? But you look so...in love." she says in disbelief.
"We are," Samu smiles, "We just didn't realize it at the same time then," he tells her.
Keiko hands over a manilla envelope to you. "The original is in there as well as a few smaller ones," she smiles. "Thank you so much." You smile as you accept the envelope from the teenager. "No problem, thank you. If you wouldn't have let me use the photo I don't think I would have entered the competition," she laughs "I feel that the two of you are going to spend many years loving each other, it's a beautiful thing to see."
You were taken aback by the young girl's words that seem to have held so much wisdom. "My grandma always says that the love that lasts the longest is the one that doesn't have to be loud. You two represent that well." She finishes as she stands from her seat. "Thank you again."
Then she's gone.
"Woah," Osamu whispers behind you as the girl walks out the door. "She was...wish," he notes as he grabs the envelope from your grasp. "She was," you nod in agreement as you turn to watch him open the envelope.
"Which one should I hang up in the lobby?"
"You're not serious." you tilt your head in a pout. A grin spreads across the brunette's face, "I'm one hundred percent serious." He says before leaning across the counter and giving you a quick kiss. "So," he starts again. "Which one?"
Osamu ended up hanging a copy of the photo on the bulletin board in his office. Right next to the one of you trying one of the first onigiri's he'd made for you.
