"Are you serious," Carol rolled her eyes, "Go back to bed."
"No," Susan spoke then sneezed, "I'm going."
"You wont even make it, you'll die in the middle of the sidewalk then freeze to it."
"Carol, I am fine. It's just a little cold."
"You're sick, Susan. You have A's in all of your classes, and the professors are on their hands and knees to serve you so I'm sure getting notes wont be difficult."
"They are not." Susan pulled Bad's scarf over her neck, then paused, "Okay so they're nice to me, but we're friends!"
"Regardless, my point still stands, you can rest a day."
"I'll loose attendance points. Watch Professor Bad takes roll call today. I bet any money he will."
Carol sighed knowing well she wouldn't get through to her, "At least make an appointment at the nurses today."
"I can't guarantee I'll get in today." She pulled her bag over her shoulders, "I'll have to make my moms soup tonight."
"THE CRACK SOUP!?" Carol became excited immediately, "YO that is my favorite!"
Suzy laughed causing her to cough at the same time, "I'll make enough for a few days, just let me TRY to go to class."
"Girl you got a deal."
Susan was freezing from her fever however it was colder outside as the temperature was beginning to drop matching the fall weather. She bundled up with her hoody, Bad's scarf, and her winter jacket as well as leggings underneath her jeans.
It wouldn't be the first time in her life where she went to class sick and wouldn't be her last.
All through Professor Invincible's class she tried her best to pay attention and stay awake which she succeeded but barely. Before he could stop her to ask what was wrong she had already left his class for her break.
He reached out to her via text message but never received a reply, just a delivered notification. Susan had spent her break sleeping in the library with an alarm for math. She pushed herself by repeating "Two more classes" over and over.
Professor Bad stood outside his room greeting everyone as they came in while writing names in a notebook. She was correct, he was taking attendance. While passing him she said hello. Bad immediately grabbed the handle of her book bag and signaled the others to go inside. She didn't put up a fight and stood there waiting to see what he had to say.
After a minute or so he checked his watch and shut the door to his classroom glancing at the students inside. He then turned and crossed his arms.
"Go."
"What?" She perked up a little out of curiosity.
"Go."
"Go where?"
"You're as sick as a dog. I knew this was coming the moment I saw you outside." Annoyance rolled off his tongue.
"I'm not that sick." She softly argued.
"You're bundled up like it's -2 outside." He then noticed she was wearing his scarf.
"So I'm a bit cold. It's fine. I set up an appointment at the nurse across campus for tomorrow."
"Tomorrow?"
"Yes, they're booked." She sighed then tried to walk past him.
He blocked her, "Go."
"Michael, let me go to class."
"Are you worried about falling behind or something? You got the credit for being here, I can email you the lesson. It's not like you don't go to tutoring either."
