Ch.28: The Grocery List

She paused for a few moments, staring at the ground, then sneezing into her arm, "I do better with live instruction."

"I figured you're a person who doesn't take breaks." Bad crossed his arms, "I'll record myself teaching the lesson and email it to you. Does that work?"

"And History's class?"

"I'll talk to him. Just go back to your apartment and rest."

Sue was too weak to argue with him, being out an about wasn't helping at all.

"Fine."

"Good. We'll talk later." He pat her shoulder and watched her walk away before entering his classroom.

Thriller walked around the back room where the sets were sitting. He finished cleaning up the paint and all the mess it had created. Worried about Susan he reached out to her once more.

PT: Are you SURE you don't need anything.

SW: Actually, I do. I can't run to the store. Will you pick me up a few items?

He was extremely happy to help her and to get a chance to see her.

PT: Absolutely, what do you need?

Within minutes he received a text from Susan with a small list of groceries to pick up from the store. As he gathered his items to leave he stopped his brother, Bad.

"Hey, I'll be home a few minutes late."

"Why's that?"

"Susan asked me to grab a few things for her from the store. I'm going to stop there and then come home."

"Wait —" Bad wrinkled his brow. "You too?"

"Me too? What do you mean? She text you a grocery list?"

"Yeah," Bad pulled out his phone. "Egg noodles, 2 containers of chicken broth, and salt."

"What?"

"That's strange." They both paused.

"What's strange?" Professor History heard them as he walked down the hallway putting his coat on.

Thriller then pulled out his phone to reread his message then show his brother, "Susan asked the both of us to go on two separate shopping trips for different things."

"Wait, what?" He quickened his pace pulling out his phone, "You too?"

"What do you mean us too?" Bad jumped in. "She asked you to go to the grocery store?"

"Yeah, I offered to pick up something for her since she made me food when I was sick. She sent me a list." History explained. "And I'm assuming you two as well.

Dangerous closed the door to a nearby music room with all of his items, "Hey, History, I'm going to be home a bit late. I have to go to the store."

All three brothers turned towards him. He stopped looking back at them.

"What's wrong?"

Bad then took a few steps towards him, "Would it be a grocery list for Susan?"

"...how did you know?"

"She sent all of us a grocery list. Like two or three items." Thriller showed his phone screen to them.

Dangerous was not happy, but put on a smile, "Well, seeing that she text all of us, why don't you all send me your lists and I'll just get it all together. I don't mind."

"I'd rather do it," History jumped in, "She went out of her way to come to my home and make me food while I was sick, it's the least I can do."

"I'll do it." Bad then added. "I have to speak to her anyway."
