On your 18th birthday you get a slim, coloured peice of hair on your head. No one actually knows how it appears. Some people say a random person appears and picks a random colour to dye your hair.

Oscar didn't belive that, but, it's whatever. On the night of her last day being 17, she stayed up, watching for the coloured strand to come in. However, it hit midnight and nothing was there.

It bummed her out to say the least. So she just went to bed with a sort of tear streaked face but also not so tear streaked.

The next morning, she saw a bright orange strand on the front of the wave in her hair. She thought she'd seen that colour somewhere. She played around with it for a while, it contrasted perfectly with her dark brown hair.

She loved it.

When she was 20, she got a girlfriend. No, they didn't have the same hair coloured strand, but who cares?

Her name was Lilly. She loved her. Lilly supported her all the way through her junior years to formula 1.

After a while, it came to Oscar's knowledge that lando Norris had the same coloured hair strand as her. A stray orange curl falling infront of her face almost all the time.

It came to Oscar's knowledge, when she was in her sitting out year with alpine. She didn't want lando to know, she didn't really want anyone to know. Luckily, she normally covered up her strand anyway. But now she really had to. She needed it gone.

Later that day, she died the front peice of her hair the same dark brown colour, making sure there was not one orange strand left.

It became worse when the two of them became teammates. Lando also had a girlfriend, luisia. She also didn't have the same coloured strand as Lando. And they didn't care.

Good for them, at least.

"How come you've covered your streak up..? I've been ignoring it for a while now, but I'm curious," Lilly asked her one time, looking up at her.

Oscar shrugged nervously, she was unsure how no one had actually caught on yet. "I just..it's irrelevant to me," she said softly, she then kissed the other girls head.

When it really became a problem, was when lando had actually noticed it.

"Oi, do you not have a streak or Sommet?" She asked, leaning closer to Oscar.

Her face flushed a little, "I do, I just don't wanna show it, get out my face," she said, scrunching her nose.

"Defensive much? It's ok, my and luisia don't have the same strand," Lando shrugged.

"Yeah, neither do me and Lilly but I just cover mine up," she mumbled, looking at her phone.

"Surely it's not that deep right?" Lando snickered, reaching for Oscar's hair.

"Drop it, why are you so invested," Oscar snapped, it came out a little harsher than intended, hitting Lando's wrist away.

"Sorry mate..didn't know it was such a sensitive topic for you," she huffed, turning to walk away.
