*^ Soulmates? Soultied? ^*

Start from the beginning

Oscar swallowed thickly, watching her walk away. Just then, Lilly came and sat next to her, making her jump.

"Ok, what was that about?" She asked.

Shit.

"Nothing," Oscar huffed.

"Nothing? So we're just not going to talk about the fact your being a bitch to lando cause she's got an orange strand huh?" She raised her eye brows.

Oscar froze, not looking up from her phone.

"Listen, I know..that, you probably a little weary about it, but..Lando also has a girlfriend, ok? She's not going to scream and kill tou becUse your her soulmate, right?" Lilly shrugged. "And I also..don't..mind, about it," she said softly.

Oscar nodded, "thank you.." she whispered back, pulling Lilly into an awkward hug.

A few days.

A few days was all it took before the pictures of Oscar before she died her hair came to light.

The orange strand of her hair dangling like a horn infront of her face as she looked on Twitter.

She felt like she was going to have some sort of panic attack. Because what the fuck.

Oscar stormed into Zak's office that race weekend.

"What the fuck is this?!" She shouted, her voice cracking awkwardly.

"Listen, we're trying to figure out what happened, it's ok, we're wiping it, the media manager is doing the best he can, as is the team," Zak assured her.

"I need it gone, ok?! I specifically asked for every photo of me with- with that strand to be gone!" She shouted.

"Oscar we understand your frustration, but we are handling this the best we can." Zak said firmly.

"Well it's not fucking enough is it?! Clearly someone isn't doing something right if these pictures have managed to come out!" She shouted, tears pricking her eyes.

"Oscar, it's just a strand of hair, ok? Please calm down." He snapped, his patience finally wearing thin.

"Your just gonna get pissed off with me about this?" She asked, when Zak didn't respond, she scoffed, "fuck sake."

As she turned around she saw lando stood behind her, "excuse me." She muttered, moving past her.

Lando watched her walk away.

The whole thing was a mess for days. Oscar didn't show her face in the press or media at all. Didn't want to. She decided she didn't deserve to see her anymore.

It became worse when lando and luisia broke up, it made her look even worse. People started saying more stuff online. More pictures surfacing.

Oscar decided she needed to address the situation properly. McLaren made her do it, honestly.

They sat her down in a chair opposite a camera, "rolling."

Oscar let out a heavy sigh, "it's come to..to the attention that I have an orange strand of hair." She nodded, "and..I want to say that the break up of lando and luisia had nothing to do with me. I haven't even seen lando since this all came to surface."

She paused.

"It's not fair that these pictures have been brought up without the team's consent. Without my consent, more importantly. I..covered it up for a reason, to prevent this. And obviously.. that hasn't worked at all, instead it's an even bigger thing than what it would have been originally I imagine," she sighed heavily.

"Therefore, I will not be making any more statements on this, nor will I be engaging with anything online involving the silly, coloured strand of hair that every person has on their head. It's lando and luisias decision to end their relationship, please respect their lives and privacy, and mine.

Thank you."

After that, everything settled down. Oscar still didn't come face to face with lando, and she hadn't really spoken to Lilly about the whole thing.

She was unsure if they were even still together, unsure if the media had broken them apart too.

She didn't bother to ask, thought it was for the better. Until a few days later she got a message saying that they should break up for the better of both of them.

Oscar didn't reply. She felt like her whole life had just fallen down infront of her, to be honest. Unsure of what to do, she went out of her hotel room for possibly the first time that weekend where it was willingly.

She sat at the hotel pool, she kicked off her shoes, and put her feet in the water. She had pyjama shorts on, no need to roll them up. She kicked the water around softly, sighing as she looked up at the sky.

Clear and starry.

She heard footsteps behind her, she didn't bother looking. She saw legs dip down into the water next to her. Tanned, hairless. It was lando.

Neither of them spoke, just sat in silence, kicking the water around softly.

She then felt the soft weight of Lando's head against her shoulder, the orange, curled, strand falling right over her shoulder.
