Then I tried to kiss him again. He tilted his head back.

I jumped, still missing it.

"Oh my God, Gally, just.."

"Nope."

I stood on my tiptoes, still too short. He smirked.

"Could you not be a foot taller than me right now?" I snapped, trying to jump.

He just laughed. "Not my problem."

"Ugh, Galileo!"

I tried again. Failed. He was enjoying this.

Finally, I stopped, staring at him. "Fine," I muttered. "You want my answer?"

He nodded.

I swallowed. "I like us. I like this. I like you. And I don't want it to stop."

For a second, he just looked at me.

Then, finally, finally, he lowered his head.

His lips were warm, rougher but soft in a way that sent a shiver down my spine. My fingers curled into his shirt, holding onto him like I needed him to keep me grounded. My heart pounded. My stomach flipped. His hands held me close, and for a second, everything else disappeared.

"I need to go back." He whispered with closed eyes as we parted. "Got a Greenie to introduce properly."

My stomach twisted. Thomas.

I forced a smirk, covering up the sudden anxiety creeping in. "Don't go too hard on him."

He grinned. "No promises."

He turned around, walking towards the fighting circle.

I exhaled, running a hand through my hair. What the hell am I supposed to do now?

I couldn't say anything. Not yet.

I sat down again, shaking my head. It didn't matter right now. Right now, I was going to sit here, let myself breathe, and...

"Greenie! Greenie! Greenie!"

The bonfire crowd was cheering.

I pushed myself up and made my way over, weaving through the crowd until I spotted Minho standing off to the side, arms crossed, looking unimpressed.

He glanced at me. "Oh, hey. You're just in time to watch your boyfriend knock the hell out of the greenie."

I rolled my eyes. "He's not.."

Before I could finish, Gally was already circling Thomas in the fighting pit, rolling his shoulders like he was about to have the time of his life.

The fight started and before the Greenie could react, Gally pushed him out of the circle. The other boys caught him shoving him right into Gally's arms who finished the job by pushing him to the ground.

"Oh my.." I clapped a hand over my mouth, then immediately glanced around to see if anyone noticed. Play it cool, (Y/n). You don't know him.

"Come on, Greenie. We're not done yet." Gally spoke.

"Stop calling me Greenie." Thomas spoke up with a shaky voice.

"Stop calling you that? What do you wanna be called? Shank?" Gally challenged making the others laugh. "What do you think boys? Does he look like a shank?" Again laughter.
Then Gally glanced over at me for a second. "What do you think, honey? Does he look like a shank?"

My cheeks immediately turned red and I looked to the ground.
"Well, looks like he made it official." Minho whispered next to me.

Thomas lunged at Gally, trying to shove him out of the circle. For a second, it almost looked like he had a chance...but Gally barely budged. Instead, he grinned, pushing Thomas backward with effortless strength.

Thomas scrambled for a grip, but the sand beneath his feet betrayed him. He slid, struggling to stay upright as Gally advanced. It was like trying to stop a damn boulder.

But then, Thomas did something unexpected. Instead of resisting, he shifted his weight at the last second. Caught off guard, Gally lost his balance and went down hard.

I couldn't resist a smirk.

A collective Ooooh! echoend through the crowd.

"Not bad for a Greenie, huh?" Gally muttered pissed and kicked Thomas' legs out from under him.

I winced hard as Thomas hit the ground with a loud thud.

"Oh, shit.." Out of instinct I immediately crouched down, ignoring some looks from the guys around me. "Hey, you all right?"

Thomas grounded, holding his head.

Gally stood, brushing dirt off his shirt. "Relax, he's fine," he said, raising an eyebrow at me. "Don't worry so much about him."

I scowled up at him. "Excuse me for having basic human empathy..."

But then, Thomas sat up suddenly, blinking.

"Thomas."

The entire place froze.

My heart stopped.

Thomas looked straight ahead, dazed but completely sure of himself. "My name is Thomas."

The crowd erupted into cheers.

I just sat there, forcing myself to breathe, to keep my expression neutral.

Because I had always known.
