"seems like your forgetting something boys, my pockets feel kind of empty?" my best friend poked fun at her brother and sunghoon who stood next to him.
both of the boys reached for their pockets, exchanged tiny glances and sighed before handing over their remaining cash to Jieun.
"that's what you get when you're too confident." she pats sunghoons shoulder and he puts his hands up in surrender.
he peers over at jake who didn't seem too happy at the moment, "someone's got him in a twist." jungwon snickered lightly.
"come on man, with the way I defended you so confidently and jungwon switched sides, now i feel kind of embarrassed." Sunghoon trails his eyes down to the ground, slightly hissing to hint at his embarrassment.
this set jake off into an even worse mood, "sometimes I debate about whether i should've had seoyun in gunpoint or you guys." he snarks.
"woah woah someone's in a mood." i approach, the male with hair covering his eyes grinds his jaw, averting his eyes.
"it really looks like you were trying to not lose, wonder why." Sunghoon wiggles his eyebrows, however he was correct.
"you're right, i put my back into trying to win. The adrenaline of not putting my self in a bet and having to kiss him is the only motivation I needed."
"oh yeah?" jaeyun raises his head up to face me, he stood up from his seat, now we were only inches apart.
the others watched curiously, "all this just to not kiss me, if you let me win I would've let it slide." he spoke in a croaky tone.
i scoffed in disbelief, "I don't need you to let anything slide, i would've decided it on my own and would've let it slide on my own. You think I'd keep my terms to a stupid bet that seems like it was written out of a kdrama?" i spat.
"yeah? let's see if you'll let this slide." a cunning grin crept up on his face before he lips strikes down on mine, in front of everybody.
the group gasps to his bold actions, my eyes widened and it's like i froze. He didn't just do that, in front of everyone, in front of the announcer and the referee.
"IM SURE WE ALL SAW THAT." shouts the announcer.
He pulls himself away and leans in so that only i could hear him. "this is exactly what you deserve." he says in a hushed tone and my chest heaved up and down from the anxiety brewing up in my stomach.
"motherfucker." i grit my teeth, he slightly nods in satisfaction before crashing the side of his shoulder into mine and exiting the circuit.
"WHAT A WAY TO MAKE A DRAMATIC EXIT AM I RIGHT?"
i force my way into the circuit line and snatch the microphone from the announcer, hurling it into the air so everyone one could follow its direction as it shattered on the side of the pavement.
the announcer gaped, "hey! now I have to buy a new mic!"
