seoyun was relieved that after the trip, the weekend fell.

it was a gloomy sunday, she had contemplated about whether she'd want to go to school and face jaeyun or not and the thought of it caused her to shudder.

she was sitting in front of her tv, with the lights around her house dimmed and candles lit but a ring to the door disrupted her alone time.

she picked herself up from the ground and went to get the door, it was jieun who stood in front of her with a pearly white smile.

"missed me?"

"i always miss you now get in loser." seoyun snickered, letting her best friend inside.

"how've you been holding up, how's the nausea?" she tilted her head, "the moment i got home, it went away." her lips slightly curved.

jieun knew about jaeyun's and seoyun's conflict but decided to lay low about it, but she still wanted to check up on her friend to make sure she was okay.

"the day we were leaving, did something go on with you and jaeyun I mean i don't think I noticed you guys bickering let alone even talking." she raved, and seoyun's face darkened.

"it's a long story that i don't want to talk about." her voice turned cold, and jieun pressed her lips together shaping a small pout.

"but it would make you feel so much better if you did, you can shut the whole world out but don't shut me out too yun im begging you." jieun's tone was soft.

seoyun gave in, in defeat. It was true that she never opened up to, the closest anyones ever gotten to getting her to speak her mind, was jieun.

jieun had a way to get people to trust her and that's a quality trait she everyone liked about her.

the two head to her room, seoyun pressed her head against the board of her bed. "the night before we left i was by the tiny river that was on the map and jaeyun suddenly appeared."

"he started to smoke but i started coughing so he got further and smoked from a distant, then an officer yelled saying who's smoking and i panicked."

"jaeyun also panicked and he grabbed me by my wrist and we started to run, next thing you know five other officers started chasing us and yelling." she exhaled heavily.

jungwon didn't tell her the whole story so it came to her as a shock.

"then we found a wall and we crammed into it, it wasn't that tight and we could distant ourselves but we heard an officer approach. Jaeyun tried to go further into the wall but he stumbled on something and next thing you know we were kissing." her face shaded crimson.

"i was about to scream out of shock but then he heard another officer coming and his hand was holding the back of my head so before I could scream, he pushes the back of my head more forward and our kiss deepened, stop this is kind of embarrassing to mention but that's what happened." she facepalmed and jieun laughed.

"go on."

"after that i got him off of me and i was so angry because he knew he wasn't supposed to smoke but he did anyway, i was just so exhausted with his behavior and I asked if there was any day he could go without trouble."

"he seemed pretty mad but he said that he just wanted to spend time with me, I told him if he wanted to spend time with me, why couldn't he do it normally where he didn't have to embarrass me or make me angry."

"then he confessed, my heart just dropped. It all felt so stupid and i said some mean things, i told him to give me one reason why i should go about my way and be with him."

"I told him he was confused and he said he wasn't and to not choose his feelings for him and i said he was an asshole to keep loving me thinking I'm going to reciprocate it back and to get the fuck over it."

"so if you noticed him being mad, and why he switched rooms. That's why." my voice grew bitter and jieun was stunned.

jungwon didn't explain it as detailed as she did, and jieun's heart sank for her friend. "but you liked him didn't you... but knowing how you are you pushed him away right?"

seoyun slightly turned her head, facing her best friend. "it's unfortunate to say i do like him, and it's all new, the feelings, the connection, everything it's nothing like middle school."

"he's pretty mad jieun and if i was him I'd be fucking pissed and I'd never want to talk to myself after what i said to him."

"you need to stop keeping your guard up seoyun, jaeyun's an asshole but he's never liked anyone until you."
