Chapter 40: The Weight of Satoru Gojo CONT'D
[The battlefield remains eerily silent after Unlimited Void collapses. The Architect stands calmly, while Gojo cracks his neck, stretching his arms like he's warming up for a real fight.]
GOJO (grinning)
"Man… You actually broke my domain. That’s a first."THE ARCHITECT (calmly)
"It was flawed. A clever system, but ultimately one that relies on a static interpretation of infinity."GOJO (raising an eyebrow)
"Oh? You think you can handle real infinity, then?"---
Gojo Unleashes His True Speed
[Before the Architect can respond, Gojo vanishes. No sound, no delay. Just gone.]
A split-second later, he's right in front of the Architect— fist already mid-swing.
GOJO
"Let’s test that theory."[BOOM.]
A shockwave erupts, tearing through the space between them. The sheer force distorts the air, sending tremors across the battlefield.
But—Gojo’s fist doesn’t connect.
The Architect hasn’t moved.
Yet, somehow, Gojo’s punch stops just an inch away from his face.
GOJO (eyes widening)
"…Huh?"The Architect glances at his fist. Then at Gojo.
THE ARCHITECT
"You're fast."A flicker of something dangerous crosses his eyes.
THE ARCHITECT
"But speed, Gojo—"A sharp pulse ripples through the air—Gojo suddenly stumbles backward, completely off balance.
GOJO
"—is predictable."---
The Architect Bends Reality
[Gojo narrows his eyes. Something is wrong.]
He’s never—**NEVER—**felt his own movements get thrown off like that.
His body was moving perfectly—so why did it suddenly feel like he slipped?
The Architect extends a single finger, tracing invisible symbols midair. Gojo watches closely.
GOJO (grinning)
"Heh. What now? Some weird magic trick?"The Architect doesn’t answer. Instead, Gojo suddenly feels the world tilt.
His footing—wrong.
His timing—off.
Every motion that should be perfect suddenly feels… out of sync.
GOJO (gritting his teeth)
"…What the hell did you do?"---
The Architect: Master of Flow
The Architect clasps his hands behind his back.
THE ARCHITECT
"You rely on instinct, Gojo. Reflexes, calculation, prediction."He tilts his head.
THE ARCHITECT
"But what happens when the very flow of your movement is rewritten?"Gojo lunges forward, adjusting—but again, his timing is off. His punch misses.
The Architect sidesteps smoothly, like he’s reading the future.
GOJO (grinning, but tense)
"Oh, I get it now… You’re not stopping my attacks."THE ARCHITECT
"Correct."GOJO (grinning wider)
"You’re making me miss."---
Gojo’s Mind Accelerates
[But Gojo is Gojo.]
His brain fires at full power, processing the anomaly.
He analyzes everything:
The Architect isn’t moving at impossible speeds.
He isn’t using some hidden energy.
He’s interfering with Gojo’s internal perception of movement.
Gojo clicks his tongue.
GOJO
"Annoying. But I’ll break it."[He takes a stance, activating his Six Eyes at full capacity.]
GOJO (grinning)
"Alright, genius. Let’s see how long you can keep up when I go beyond light-speed."---
The Architect vs. Gojo’s Limitless Speed
The Architect watches as Gojo vanishes again.
This time, it’s different.
Gojo isn’t just fast. He’s moving at speeds that distort reality itself—bending light, bending time.
For the first time in the fight—
The Architect actually narrows his eyes.
[FADE TO BLACK.]
