The Formans sat around their kitchen table, joined by Hyde and Kelso in enjoying dinner. Kitty had insisted the two boys come over, and while Red disagreed, she eventually won the fight. Still, there was an awkward silence as they sat and ate.

"So, everyone enjoying dinner?" She asked as she poured herself a cup of coffee. The collective murmurs of agreement made her grin. "Good. Now, um, I want to talk to everyone about helping me with the church fundraiser."

All the boys at the table paused for a split second before jumping to their feet, ready to bolt out.

"Freeze!" Kitty stopped them in their tracks.

Liz, who was the only one still seated, let out a laugh. "I knew something was going on here."

"Yeah," Eric muttered in agreement as he settled back down. "I mean, why else would Kelso be here?"

Kelso scowled over at them. "Hey!"

With a wave of her hands, Kitty ended their small comments. Then, with one of her signature laughs, she started again. "Okay, so... God's Magic Circle is our church's women's auxiliary, and I volunteered to help organize their next fundraiser."

"And bravo, I say, bra-vo," Eric cut in sarcastically. After dabbing his face with a napkin, he started to stand. "Now, if you'll please excuse me, I have to attend a meeting."

Kitty was quick to move and block his path, staring up at him with a scowl.

He let out a heavy sigh. "It's, uh... it's very important, so..."

Liz took one look at her mother's serious expression before reaching out to pull Eric back down. "Will you at least listen to what she has to say?"

"Okay," he admitted defeat.

Kitty smiled as everyone was once again gathered around the table. "Now, as you all know, um, I'm stuck in a rut. And, um, I really, I—I just need to get out of the house and experience new things."

Eric sighed once more as he shoveled more food into his mouth. "But, Mom, I—"

"And I want your support," she cut him off, placing a hand on his shoulder.

"Don't worry, Mom," Liz spoke up with a smile, "We can help you out whenever you want."

"Whoa, whoa." Eric shot her a look, holding up his hands. "I know we're twins, but speak for yourself."

Kitty cleared her throat, giving his shoulder a tight squeeze, which made him wince. "I always give you support, Mr. I-Want-To-Be-A-Jazz-Guitarist."

Hyde and Kelso chuckled at the thought.

Red, however, scowled. "Eric, if your mother wants you, Elizabeth, and Archie and Jughead here to help her, then you're going to help her."

"You're Jughead," Hyde muttered to Kelso.

Kelso snorted. "You're Jughead!"

"You're so Jughead, it's not even debatable," Hyde said with a smirk. Dropping his fork, he glanced across the table. "Lizzie, wouldn't I be Archie?"

Liz swallowed the minute she felt her face warm. "Well, I, uh—"

Fortunately, Kelso's snickers saved her. "No, Liz, isn't Hyde so—ow!" He cried out in pain as Hyde slapped his arm.

"Steven, stop hitting Jughead," Red warned with a stern look.

Hyde smirked triumphantly. "See?"

"Hey, this is important to her, and we should support her for this," Red said, pointing over at his wife. "So, you guys'll help out."
