Invisible Strings

Yuri's POV

She's back. I don't know why she's explaining herself now. Everything's over between us. She told me that she left me for my own good. I know right!! Hurting me and leaving me without even explaining was for my own good. What did she even expect from me.

Forgiving her like nothing happened? I did so many horrible things because she broke my heart. I know what I did to Freya and Percy wasn't good but what she did to me wasn't good either.

Flashback

I was dancing with Felix and Drew when I noticed her walking towards me.

Eve. My Evelyn. But now she isn't mine. I hate her. I loved her so muchhh but she chose to leave and now I've moved on. I like someone else who isn't her.

Sophia. I like her so much. Despite of knowing that she loves Keifer, I love her.

Eve came towards me and I froze. She gently smiled and looked straight into my eyes.

"Hey, long time no see Yuri." She said but I didn't reply.

"Yuri, I know I've done you wrong. I know I left without a word but trust me it was for your good Yuri. It was for all of us."

"You did what you did Evelyn but now you don't have the right to come back and pretend like I'll be okay with it. You and me, we are gone for good and now we are nothing more than just strangers." I said and ran away from there.

I ran towards the washroom without looking back. My tears were streaming down my face uncontrollably.

I was about to enter the washroom when she suddenly called me from behind.

Sophia

"Yuri, are you alright? Who was that girl?"

"I'm alright Soph. She's my ex-girlfriend. She left me without even saying a word and now she's back and acting like nothing happened."

I couldn't control my tears and suddenly she wrapped her arms around me. I hugged her back.

"Don't cry Yuri. Sometimes, things don't end the way we want them to end. But something better is surely waiting for you." She said and caressed my hair gently.

"You know when she left me, I did so many horrible things after that. I broke an innocent heart. I messed up my friendship with Percy. I ruined it all."

"Yuri, it's not your fault, we all do horrible things when we get caught up in feelings. It's not just you." She said and slightly pulled away from the hug.

We looked into each other's eyes for minutes and I finally gave up on my urge and I kissed her but to my surprise, she kissed me back. She was too drunk. I could smell the alcohol in her breath.

Suddenly someone opened the door but we were so invested in each other that we didn't pull back and continued kissing each other.

We pulled back from each other. She stared into my eyes and suddenly she ran away.

Present

I know I messed up things between me and Sophia but I'll surely clear things between us. I guess I'll need Keifer's help in this problem. I called him and he quickly picked up.

["Hey, Yuri. I was about to call you. I need your help dude."] He said in a hurry from the other side.

Is he fine? His father attacked again or something?
