Blades decides to have a nice chat with Whirl.

Sure bringing Scorch back to the academy for repairs did help her increase her comfort with driving, but part of her still found it difficult to be using wheels on the road when most of her time was spent flying around.

she tried going on the track again, trying to get more of a hang on it when she had a little wipeout. she turned a little too fast and ended up drifting, causing her to freak out a bit and end up on the grass. She transformed, both upset and angry as she found herself still in the depths of struggles.

"What's the matter Whirl?" Blades noticed how she was clearly not her bright and happy self, coming around to be next to her on the side of the track.

"I was doing better earlier, but now it's like that never happened!" she kicked the grass out of her negative mood, finding this all to be really difficult since she was doing so well only a couple moments before.

"Whirl, sometimes things can take time." Blades tells her, having her take a seat on the grass as he does the same right next to her. "Do you want to hear a story of mine?"

"Is it one of your stories from your time where it ends with the bot being eaten by some giant space monster or something?" Whirl says, clearly still feeling down.

"Not this one." Blades assures her. "You see, back when I was younger on Cybertron, I had wheels too!"

Whirl perked her helm up, giving a face that clearly showed she was shocked. Blades surely never mentioned this to her since she ever asked, not to mention this was a very long time ago and sometimes it can feel like a blur.

"I had wheels for such a long time but I barely ever wanted to use them. Driving was just another fear I had because all my classmates would do it on the playground and sometimes ran me over." Blades recalls. "Learning to get a form besides bot was a big deal, but that also brought some rivalry."

"How did you learn to drive then if you were afraid?" She asks, wondering how he ever learned if he spent most of his time in fear of it.

"I didn't want to learn at first but then my carrier told me something very important." Blades answers. "He told me that having fear is one thing but living by it was another."

"So what did you do?" Whirl asks.

"First I started to actually figure out how to transform and then I would practice a little each day." Blades says. "At first I found it so difficult because I felt like all I was doing was messing up every single time I practiced. It made me want to quit but my carrier kept telling me that I wouldn't become perfect in a day and that things can take time."

"Did you eventually become a good driver?"

"Yep, was the best one in my class at that age too once I finally managed to get the hang of it." He says, finding the ending as sweet as it was when he was small. "The point I am trying to make here is that it will take you time to figure it out, and even when it feels like you want to give up, you know that in time you will get there."

"Was it the same with flying when you got to earth?"

"Definitely not but I had those who believed in me, and I'm sure that your classmates believe in you." Blades tells her. "They will support you, you just have to remind yourself about that."

"So as long as I practice a bit each day, I should be good at driving?" she questions.

"I know you will, now are you done for the day or are you going to go for a little longer?" his question spoke an answer as she went back onto the tack and transformed to drive around it again.

"I never thought you were ever going to tell her you used to have wheels." Chase says, coming up to sit beside the helicopter on the grassy patch.

"Someone would've said something even if it wasn't me." Blades says, just knowing his Carrier would totally do it either on purpose to get him back for something or accidentally when talking about Blades' younger years. "Besides, she needed to hear it from someone who understands."

"And you've come far-" Chase stops when he hears skidding, both of them turning to the track to see what's going on.

"I'M OKAY!"
