抖阴社区

Plunged straight through his chest.

"No..." I whispered.

Blood soaked his shirt, pouring down his front, dripping from his fingers. His knees buckled.

"NO."
I screamed it.
"NO! GALLY!"

I ran to him.., tripping over myself, my arm burning with pain, but I didn't care...I didn't care about anything but him right now.

"NO, NO, PLEASE, NO!"

He collapsed into my arms just as I caught him.

His weight dragged us both to the ground. I fell to my knees, cradling him as if I could somehow hold his soul in place.

"Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck."

Blood stained his lips, trailing from the corner of his mouth.

"NO! Gally! We.. we can fix this. Just, stay with me okay?" I sobbed, shaking, fingers flying to his face, his neck, his chest. "Please...just...just breathe! I got you!"

His mouth opened.

"I...."

And then his body went still.

I froze.

My breath left me in a single, ragged scream.

"NOOOO!"

I shook him, clutching him to me, sobbing so hard I couldn't breathe. My own blood dripped down my arm into his.

My voice cracked. Shattered.

"You came back. You found us-you found me- and now you- you can't leave me - not again!"

I held him tighter, burying my face in his neck, my arms trembling around his body.

"No.. no don't do this to me! Don't you dare! Come back!"

My scream was still ringing in the air, breaking apart like shattered glass, when another one pierced through - this one not mine.

"CHUCK! NO - GODDAMMIT!"

My head snapped up.

I looked past the blur of my own tears.

And I saw Thomas.

Kneeling.

Collapsed over someone small.

No. No, no, no.

Chuck.

Unmoving. His shirt soaked in red. His eyes open.

Thomas was sobbing. Sobbing.

"No," I whispered, voice trembling. "No, no, Chuck." I looked back at Gally. "What did you do?" I whispered.

He didn't move. He didn't speak. His eyes were still open.

"No," I choked, pressing my forehead to his one last time. "Goddammit, no, this can't be real, Gally... it can't!"

And then everything happened at once.

The huge door opened.

And then...armed men in black, like the ones from the video, stormed into the room.

"COME ON!"

"OUT!"

Voices screamed commands, but I didn't hear them.

Not really.

One of them grabbed Thomas and ripped him away from Chuck. He was yelling something, trying to hold on.

"NO!" I shrieked, as two of them came for me. "Fuck off!"

But they did. Rough hands grabbed my arms, dragging me backward.

"LET ME GO!" I kicked and twisted.

They didn't care.

They pulled harder.

But I fought. I broke free for a second and threw myself back to Gally, landing hard on my knees beside his body. I curled over him, arms wrapped around his shoulders.

A soldier grabbed me again two, maybe three now.

"We can't just leave him here!" I howled, tears pouring down my cheeks. "We.. we have to bury him!"

And then, as they dragged me toward the door, I saw Chuck again.

So still.

So small.

"CHUCK!" I sobbed. "OH, GODDAMN IT!"

Then suddenly... the ground beneath my boots wasn't hard anymore.

It was soft. Loose.

Sand.

Blinding white light burned through my vision. I squinted, disoriented, as the sky above seemed far too wide.

The soldiers shoved me forward. My knees hit the sand.

They pushed me toward the helicopter.

I saw Thomas ahead, being forced inside, stumbling, his face ghost white beneath the dirt and dried blood.

I didn't think. My body moved without me.

I climbed in.

The metal door slammed shut behind me.

And then we were rising.

Air roared past the windows. My breath caught as I turned, and through the glass..

I saw it.

The Glade. The whole maze.

The place that had been our prison. Our battleground. Our nightmare.

And his grave.

And there was nothing I could do.

I pressed a blood-slick hand to the glass, my heartbeat thudding against my ribs.

And that's when it hit me.

I'd lost him.

Twice.

Once to the Maze...when he looked me in the eyes and chose to stay behind.

And now... right in my arms.

He made it out. He made it to me.

And then he died.

There was blood on my arms, on my chest, on my neck. So many cuts. So many bruises. So many scars.

They would heal.

Eventually.

But the one that was now carved into my heart...

I wasn't sure it ever would.

This was grief.

And it was unbearable.

Thomas sat beside me, his hands trembling as he clutched something tight - Chuck's wooden figure.

He blinked slowly, hollow, and then looked at me.

And without even blinking, my voice barely a whisper but full of everything I had left, I said-

"If WICKED is still out there... I'm gonna kill every last one of them."
