It had been a great day.

Me and Brian hung out at the park for a good part of the day.

We talked, we ate lunch, and then we just laid on the grass and looked at the sky.

I had to admit that I had a lot of fun.

Brian had a way of distracting me from everything that was bothering me.

For the first time since I talked to Lia, Luke had not come to my mind.

It was actually surprising.

Brian pulled up to my house and turned off the car.

I actually felt a little awkward as we sat there.

I looked over and Brian and saw that he looked at me.

We both laughed as we looked back down.

"I had a good time, Brian." I said with a smile.

"So did I. I'm glad I was able to distract you, even if it was for a little while." Brian said with a smirk.

I laughed lightly as he reached over and grabbed my hand.

I looked down at our hands as he laced his fingers with mine.

A small smile made its way across my face.

"I don't want you to worry about this guy, Evey. If he cares about you as

much as he claims, then he wont pressure you to do anything you don't want. If he gives you any trouble, give me a call." Brian said.

I looked up at him and he smiled.

"Thanks Brian. I appreciate it." I said.

"I'm here for you, always." He said with a wink.

"Alright, well, I'm gonna head in." I said, letting go of his hand and taking off my seat belt.

"Do you want me to come in?" Brian asked softly.

I looked at him with a cocked eyebrow.

"Since when do you ask?" I replied with a smirk.

"Its a first for me. I'm trying to be nice." Brian said with a grin.

"That's a nice change. But not tonight. Thank you for asking though." I said as I leaned over and gave him a kiss in the cheek.

I got out and smiled as Brian drove away.

I laughed as I shook my head and opened the door.

"He's so adorable sometimes." I murmured to myself as I closed the door.

I dropped my keys on the table and went over to the fridge to get a drink.

Knock, knock, knock.

I turned toward the door and didn't move.

A smile made its way to my face.

"Knew that being nice wouldn't last." I said with a smile as I opened the door.

My mouth dropped open and my eyes almost bugged out of my head.

"Luke?" I asked.

Luke was standing in my doorstep with a huge white Teddy bear that was holding a heart saying 'Im Sorry' in cursive letters.

In his other hand there was a bouquet of blood red roses.

"I know you're probably still pissed at me. You have every right to be, and I don't blame you. I'm so sorry, Evey. I never meant to make you feel pressured into anything. I know you still have feelings for Brian and I just came back. I can't expect you to drop everything and be with me. That's selfish and unfair. I just want you to be happy. I got these for you. If you don't want them, I can throw them away too." Luke said.
