"So I hear Brian was completely wasted last night." I commented as I stood at the counter in my brothers kitchen.

"Completely. It took us forever to get him upstairs. Kept talking about monsters getting him. Matt had to promise to protect him before he let us drag him up there." Jimmy said with a laugh.

I shook my head as I laughed too.

Brian is one of a kind.

Never know what to expect from him.

And you never know what you're gonna get.

"So is that where Matt is? Baby sitting Brian." I said with a laugh.

"Yup. He doesn't want him to fall down the stairs or something if he's stumbling around." Jimmy explained.

That makes sense.

I tried not to laugh.

Brian would totally do something like that.

"Guess why he got so shit faced?" Jimmy laughed.

"Caaaaaause.... it was a Wednesday?" I threw out.

"Over a fucking chick." He said, sounding amazed.

My eyes widened.

"Seriously?" I asked.

"Dead fucking serious. Kept saying girls are vicious and it was a secret and he couldn't tell us who it was. All this drunken babble bullshit." Jimmy said.

I tried to keep my face blank of emotion.

Me and Brian both agreed it was best if Jimmyneverfound out about us.

Ever.

Idon'twant to know what would happen if my brother was to ever find out I was screwing one of his best friends behind his back.

The look of betrayal on his face would really kill me.

There's nothing I hate more then my brother's disprovable.

"Since when does Brian drink himself into a stupor over a girl?" I asked nonchalantly.

"Not since Michelle. That was, what? Almost two years ago?" Jimmy guessed.

I nodded my head.

It was two years ago.

Two years ago that this, thing, between me and Brian started.

Two years ago, that he decided using me as a doormat, was easier and more convenient then me being his girlfriend.

Two years ago, that Michelle cheated on him, and he decided to take all of his anger out on me.

I tried not to grit my teeth.

As mean as it sounds, I'm glad that Brian is suffering now.

It gives him just a little taste of what I've been dealing with for the past two years.

"So did he ever end up spilling the beans about who the girl was?" I asked.

"Nope. Not a word. Just kept saying it was a secret and he'd cover his mouth." My brother said.

"That's odd. Brian's usually the kind of guy who likes to brag." I said.

"He usually is. But not when the girl is playing him, instead of the other way around." My brother pointed out.

"Good point." I said.

"He'll get over it. He just needs some time." Jimmy said.

I nodded in agreement.

My brother's front door opened and in skipped Lia.

The second my brother saw her, his face absolutely lit up.

I grinned as the love between them shone throughout them.

I couldn't be happier that my brother and best friend are together.

I remember them standing in front of me, stuttering and nervous, trying to tell me that they had feelings for each other.

I let them stand there trying to tell me what was going on when I knew the whole time.

I never in a million thought my brother would be scared to tell me something.

I guess he thought I would be mad about him being with my best friend.

And it's probably true.

In any other situation, I would've been mad about a sibling of mine going out with my best friend.

But this isJimmy!

I couldn't be at that guy if I tried.

As soon as I gave my blessing they were more then happy to go about being a normal, crazy couple.

I looked up at them now.

Lia was straddling my brother on one of the kitchen chairs as his arms wound around her and started traveling lower and lower.

"Excuse me! I'm still in here in case you forgot!" I yelled loudly.

They both looked up sheepishly.

I zoned in on Lia and narrowed my eyes.

"Hellobestfriend. Yeah, I'm doing just fine, and I missed you a whole lot too." I said sarcastically.

Her eyes widened and she jumped off of Jimmy and into my arms.

She locked her legs around my waist and I had to drop everything in my hands so I could hold her up.

She started kissing me all over my face and I couldn't help but laugh.

"Oh my goodness! Look at my best friend. Isn't she the most beautiful person in the world! She's the bestest friend I could ever ask for and she's awesome! How are you my love?" She asked, pulling away so she could look at me.

"Hey! I thought I was your love!" Jimmy yelled from across the room.

"Hush you! I'm having a chat with my best friend." Lia said.

Jimmy sat pouting in his chair as I laughed.

"I missed you Lia." I told her honestly, hugging her tightly.

She smiled and got off of me, hugging me back.

"I missed you too. Why does it feel like I haven't seen you in a few years?" She asked.

"Hmm, probably because every time I'm here, you're too busy eating my brothers face off to notice." I said nonchalantly.

Her eyes filled with guilt and I instantly felt bad for saying anything.

"Eve! I'm so sorry! I didn't me---," She tried.

I cut her off with a hug.

"It's okay. I don't care. You're both happy and that's all I care about." I told her.

She smiled and hugged me tightly.

"We have to have a girls night." She said.

"I definitely agree with you." I told her with a smile.

"How about tonight?" She asked.

"Yeah, that sounds good to me." I told her.

She squealed and jumped on me again and I laughed as I fell to the floor.

"We have so much to catch up on." She squealed.

"Yeah, we definitely do." I said, my thoughts going to Brian.

Lia saw the look in my eyes and she gave me a sign.

'Later.' I mouthed.

She nodded and instantly knew what I was referring to.

This night is going to be eventful.
