"You know this is probably gonna kill us." Lia said.

"I know. But at least we'll die happy." I said, taking some more.

"We don't need guys in our life. We have Ben N' Jerry." Lia said, taking anoher scoop of Rocky Road.

"True that." I said with a laugh.

Lia was feeling a lot better now.

I let her cry it out and now I'm feeding her.

"So? When are you gonna tell me why you're so scared of Jimmy loving you back? That seems pretty perfect to me." I said, trying to sound casual.

"He scares me, Eva." She said quietly.

I dropped my spoon.

"My brother? Has he hurt you? You better tell me right now. I'll go to his house and personally castrate him. He doesn't need to procreate anyway." I said evilly.

"No he didn't hurt me. Are you crazy? He would never. You should know you're brother better than anyone. I just wasn't expecting him to feel the same way. I wanted him too, so badly. But then when I had the chance to have him, I got scared." Lia said.

I put my arm around Lia and pulled her close.

"Not every guy you love is gonna leave you Lia." I said softly.

"It sure feels like it." She grumbled.

"Jimmy's different. You know he is. I know you can feel it." I said.

"I do. But what if he does want me, and when he gets me, he just throws me away? I'll never be able to hang out with you again because he's your brother. You're always with the guys and they're all best friends. I'd be losing my best friend and the guy I love all in one day!" Lia ranted.

I sat back and just watched her.

She turned and looked at me.

"What?" She asked.

"Are you done being dramatic?" I asked.

"I'm not being dramatic. I'm being realistic." She said.

"Yeah right. The only thing that could pull us apart is death. And even then, I'd follow you and drag your ass back." I said.

Lia smiled.

"How lucky am I to have a best friend who will fight death with me." Lia said.

"Pretty damn lucky. You better not forget it either." I said with a laugh.

She laughed again and hugged me.

She laid her head on my lap and I ran my fingers through her hair.

"So? Am I driving or are you?" I asked.

Lia looked up at me and smiled.

"You. You drive faster." Lia said, jumping up.

"Lets go then!" I yelled.

I jumped off the couch and ran to grab my purse and keys.

"Lia! Move your ass." I yelled.

Lia ran past me and jumped into the front seat.

I was so excited that I tried to slide across the hood like they do in all the movies.

Problem was, I'm wearing shorts and the car has been sitting out in the hot sun all day.

So instead of sliding smoothly across, I burned the crap out of my legs and fell off the side of the car.

"Eva! What the hell are you doing dumbass! This isn't a time to be playing!" She yelled.

I grumbled and got into the car.

"It always works in the movies! Fuck that hurt!" I yelled, pushing on the gas and racing to Matt's house where I knew Jimmy would be.

My brother could be so predictable at times.

Other times is a completely different story.

The second we pulled up to the house, Lia just sat there.

"Umm, hello? This is the part where you run out and get the guy of your dreams." I said.

"Eva, I'm scared." Lia said.

"You can be scared later. Go get your man." I said, pushing her.

She smiled and jumped out.

I followed closely behind her, not wanting to miss a thing.

When I got in there, Jimmy and Lia were just staring at each other, having a mushy moment.

I honestly wanted to puke, but this is my best friend and my brother, two of the most important people in my life.

I can make fun of them later.

"I love you, Jimmy." Lia said.

It was silent and then Jimmy smiled.

He didn't do anything, just cradled Lia's face.

"Just kiss her already!" Matt yelled.

Jimmy laughed and pulled Lia in, giving her a big kiss.

We all whooped and hollered.

I was jumping up and down, until I realised I was still in the clothes I threw on this morning, and I was wearing no bra.

I stopped jumping immediately and noticed Brian was smirking at me.

I scowled and crossed my arms over my chest.

Lia and Jimmy finally came up for air.

"I love you too, Lia." Jimmy said with a smile.

I grinned as I watched Lia's face fill with happiness.

My brother's grin filled up his face as well and it made me want to cry.

I'm glad they got what they wanted.

They both deserve happiness.

I just wish I got what I wanted too.
